I just opened a day care in my home and am having a hard time getting customers.? -

I have a web-site. have advertising in newspapers and tried to put up flyers which no one will allow and are rude about it. does anyone have suggestions please.

if you are lazy, you aren t going to help yourself very much, the answer is the same as it was a couple of days ago. get dressed, put on some make-up look neat, smart, clean and well rested and go to all the commercial and industrial companies within a couple of miles of your business location and ask to put your card up in the employee lounge. You need to go door to door in the evenings when parents get home from work and knock on their door to tell them you are right around the corner and they can save gas by dropping off and picking up with you. You need to go to and join clubs, associations and service groups and pass more than the word around. Put cards on windshields of vehicles you can see a child s safety seat in. Every place where a mom can work is where you need to introduce your self and you should be able to go to 30 places in the two hours around lunch.

Have you tried putting the flyers up in supermarkets that have bulletin boards. I know some major ones such as Jewel/Osco have them. Or if you have any kids in school maybe talking to the school to see if your flyers can be distributed in every classroom. Usually word of mouth is your best option. Church bulletins or flyers are good too. I hope this might help you.. Good Luck!!

I would not put up flyers,it makes you look cheesy.Remember people have to trust you with their kids.Believe it or not, there is a ton of people that still use the yellow pages, getting your name in there cost some money, but it pays off.Once you get established ( if you are good at what you do) word of mouth will take over,GL

some libraries and grocery stores have bulletin boards you can put small ads on - there just might not be that many people looking for child care right now - they either already have it or they are out of work and staying home with the kids

You can make up business cards and hand them out. Put flyers on telephone poles.

Ebay sellersquot; Why is eBay making us sign in twice in a row each time before we can check our sales? -

I presume everyone else is having to do this, too. I m finding it very frustrating because it already takes several minutes from the time I click on the eBay icon until the time I am prompted to sign in (I have dial up)--but having to do it twice in a row adds still more time to the process and I don t understand the purpose of them having us do it.

EBay checks whether you are logging in from the same computer as before as a security measure. I once had to call the to get things worked out when I got a new PC. Possibly, their system isn t reading your computer properly. You might want to get in touch with them about it. I had to have them set up an automatic call to my phone to verify me.
