Franking machines are very expensive...I had one for my small business and had to top up the postage periodically by getting the machine to call Pitney Bowes . Not only did I have to pay the monthly rental but I had to pay an admin fee every time I topped it up! Although the top-up was automatic, it only worked 9-5 which was a pain because as an eBay seller I did most of my post in the evening. There is a slight saving on stamps cost (IIRC 3p per letter) but it really isn t worth it.I set up an arrangement with my local postmaster that I delivered my un-stamped parcels daily and they stamped them when they were quiet and I paid once a week. No queueing for me and a bit of extra money for a local business. Call up the most well-known computer repair shop in the area and ask them what their price is, and cut it. I m going to go half. I live in a small town, and there isn t a single shop in town. Everyone takes their computers to a Best Buy to get them repaired. The prices are outrageous, and the results completely unsatisfactory.$40 + the cost of the RAM to add it is good, I think. Seriously, it takes like ten minutes. If you re slow.

i would call up three or four local competitors to see what their prices are for the services i want to offer. i would then create a spreadsheet of 3-4 items per competitor and put it all in a matrix. this will give you a fair idea of what the market you re in is willing to pay for your services. go by your gut feeling. sometimes when you talk to customers, you get an idea of how much they are willing to spend. ask customers who are price shopping how much they perceive the value of your service is. that will knock some reality into your pricing and help you correct upward or downward for next time. by the time you re on to your 10th customer, you will have a fairly good idea of pricing. good luck.

I prefer to receive the resumes via email and then invite qualified candidates in for an interview. I say this as a warning only though. It really depends on the type of job you are applying for. If it is a small company then your chances are better and if it is a really small company then you might even be able to make a job for yourself. It sounds like a great idea. As far as whether or not it would be profitable here are some things to consider. Rent in a mall is very high. Most states have laws requiriing you to have so many adults for each child. Without knowing how many children you will have each day it would be tough to tell how many employees you would need, you would need to schedule extra to be on the safe side. If your state s ratio is 1 cartaker per 5 children you will need to make sure that 5 children bring in enough to pay that care taker, benefits and payroll taxes and also leave enough for overhead and profit.If you can make the numbers work out it sounds like a great idea and something you d definitely want to franchise in every decent sized mall in the country.

It could be but usually malls are high rent. If you can keep that down I am sure you could build a decent business plan to see how it would work out. If your mom had insurance, the insurance might cover the loss of the items, so she should review the policy to see how to make a claim or to talk with her insurance agent. As for the rent, you can see if they filed a change of address notice at the post office.

If she had a contract she could take them to small claims court, all she has to do is file,and the court system will eventually find them. If she rented it with no contract, no deposit, then its a live and learn situation.

I don t think it s a scam, but I am a bit weary of them because it s really tough to find out any details about the company itself. I m not to fond of the binary comp plan either. There are similar free sites like Blastoff Network where you can recruit others and earn from their shopping. They don t have the holistic products that Shop to Earn has, but the major national retailers are the same. Although I don t think they are a scam I know there are much better network marketing opportunities available.

Lullaby Jane is much better than the second option. Style Icing says nothing about babies, and the ice in Icing sounds cold, brittle - not warm and fuzzy. You want a name that consumers can resonate to, and will in some way associate with babies, and a lullaby falls into that category, although it makes me think more of sleepwear and cradles than diapers. Maybe look for a third option.
