Can you invent it yourself? If you can and you still believe in it you will need to get a patent for it and then look on doing a business plan for funding. If not you would need to approach somebody in the market that the invention is for.Obviously you don t want to say too much about what your idea is at the moment but whoever you decide to approach make sure you get them to sign a confidentiality agreement.I am an entrepreneur and may be able to help you.Email me at chris@jobdepressed.com
Contact the Intellectual Property Office (IPO). They provide some free help and advice and run free seminars around the country. We went to one in London a few months ago and it was really helpful. We thought we needed to apply for a patent but found out we only needed to protect our design rights and copyright, both of which cost a lot less. You can also talk in confidence to your local Business Link. Again, their advice is free.Good luck!
Some companies place adverts and charge you to develop products e.g. help you with design and patents. Dont use them, the products rarely get developed and you end up paying them a fee.
