If a business is using an unregistered business (ie didn t register the name at the ministry), can they be asked to stop using that name if somebody else registers that same name? Also by law can the unregistered business just continue using the name if no harm is being done?

Yes, if you are using a name that someone else has registered, DUH, it s the law, that s why there is a registration process

Is it realistic in business to expect to sell 100% of your stock? -

or should i always expect to have some left over?

Your company wants a reserve.. so the CORPORATION doesnt sell all the stock.....

depends on what you be sellin, iwould say eventually, but then there is the stock rotation system, and replenishment.

What to put on writting when you and a friend go into business together? -

me and a friend of mine are going into business together, I would like to know what are the most important things to put on writing.

Yeah things can get really complicated when you go into business with a friend. Money can turn someone you ve known your whole life, your best friend... into an enemy and it s really tuff sometimes.But that s not to say that things can t go well and that it won t improve your life and help you reach your goals, I know and have worked with many people in business with there friends/family members and etc.Depending on the business I would talk to a lawyer and get some official documents written up in terms of ownership, profit sharing, and expenses. The best thing to remember is to be prepared for anything!Good luck, I hope your business works out!

Everything is important when 2 or more people start a business. You need to consider all that goes into a business. Not knowing what type of work it is will limit answer details but iron out the details prior to doing this, you d be surprised the simplest things that can make a friendship turn ugly working together.

Search online for partnership agreements. There are some good templates out there. The best thing to do would have an attorney draft one. At the very least, if you draw it up yourself, you should each have an attorney look over it.

Can I sue company for holding my domain name and website design? -

I had a website designed by a company and paid for that design. My account with them is due I didn t pay for the renewal and they took my site down. They are holding my domain name and the design is gone. Can they do that? Isn t that website design mine and if so how do I get it? Can they hold my domain name? They are costing me loss of money here what do I do? I don t want to renew with them because they are overcharging me for the domain name and the webhosting.

Well how much are they overcharging? ....Most of these companies are very competative so I can t see the difference in price between them and other companies being very much...and in that case if your talking $20 or $30 WHO CARES! If you sue them..the cost of that event will be monumentally greater than the difference of your other hosting service....times ten. So..thats really not a logical option.Get your site up and focus on making more money with actual sales, not by penny pinching expenses.For now I would pay the bill for the next year....and during that time, have your domain ownership registration transferred to you personally. Obtain the website on CD in HTML format and the raw design format (The actual files from whatever design software was used to create the pages) Until you do those things, they have you by the *allsGood Luck

They are costing you loss of money? Evidently, you are costing them loss of money. Pay your bill and talk to them about a plan to pay off what you owe them.I would ask for a copy on a CD or DVD of your web content (a backup) and make sure you are the registered owner of the domain (administrative contact).
