you have to beware of jobs that don t show the company name...I have read that some people post jobs just to get your resume and use it for there own personal use. A company will realize that you do not want to e-mail your references and you will give them to the company in person. I would only send in a vague idea of where you live and not your exact address, if you have one a cell number and not your home number

On 11-16-09 a boy came to a one of my mom s friend s house saying he had just started a new dog walking/ pet sitting Business and he asked if we had pets, and we said yes, we have 2 cats, and he said that he was dog walking/pet sitting for 2 dollars an hour. Then he asked if he could see the cats, and i showed him one of the cats,and he got to meet them and he told us about his plans.and my mom s friend said, yeah i ll call you if i need you! and that gave me the idea to do it too. I tried to dog walk once, but no one needed help, and i didn t go to houses to tell people what i was doing. So please! tell me what I can do to kill the competition. I am 11 and i can t do it in the same streets hes doing it!

If you live in a development try walking people s dogs in another subdivision. Ride your bike to the other subdivision. Avoid making eye contact with him or he will ask you what your doing. If you do just say I am getting groceries in the supermarket. If you don t have a supermarket say I am going to a friends house. Try to get your mom involved with your plan. well obviously none of the other answers are helping so since your young it may be hard to start one. i would start with family and close neighbors. Then maybe the word will spread and you can take care of them. Yoour still in school so make that your main priority.Just think of prices and any features you want. How much should I charge for babysitting? -

I am 16 years old and I have been babysitting for about 5 years. I have taken a class that deals with how to deal with children but haven t taken first aid or cpr yet. I don t want anyone telling me that I should because I know I should and I will. I just want to know what you believe I should get paid. Including how much per extra kid and anything else.

I think you should ask around (and/or ask your Mom do this) what babysitters are paid in your area. Then charge just a little bit less to make yourself marketable. You would probably need First Aid training before CPR training if you are babysitting children.

If you were younger, $5 per hour would be perfect, but because you are older and experienced, I would say 7 or 8 dollars an hour. This is good for one or two kids, but any extra money depends on the individual situation.

I d study economics and maybe psychology, as to deal with money better and dealing with clients. It would probably take a long time to become as successful as Ari. Word travels fast though, so one big client might lead to another, and another, by word of mouth and so forth. With perseverance and not afraid to lose a bit of money at first, you may eventually become as big as Ari. It would be tough though.

You would need 10 to 20 times that initial investment to compete with the bigger ones. 5 mil? Forget it.
