Bike Courier Main Offices? -

I was writing a story for English about a bunch of couriers hanging out waiting for their next commission and it just occurred to me. Do couriers have a building they go to for work or do they just stay home until they are requested to deliver something?

They are on call, they work for a company with an office, but seldom go there except to deliver paperwork
