Where do you register a name for a new business? -

I m opening a new computer repair store and I need to know where to go to register the name and also availability of free names.I went to town hall and they had no idea where to go for that! For the state of Ohio, summit county

Depending on the type of business you are starting, there are categories a business falls into: trade, fictitious or corporate. If you want the name of your business to be protected so that others cannot use it, you will want to have either a trade name or corporate name. You should contact the Secretary of the State of Ohio to register a name. You may do this in writing and mail your request to the Office of the Secretary of State, 30 East Broad Street, 14th Floor, Columbus, OH 43266-0418 or telephone at (614) 466-3910. To check to see whether a name is being used in the State of Ohio at present, you may call a name availability line at (614) 466-0590. A trade name registration fee is $20 and reserves the name for five years. The registration of the name may be renewed at the end of each five-year term for a $10 fee.Register your business name under a fictitious name if you do not wish to register it as a trade name or corporate name and the name does not fully reveal the owners of the business. The law states that a business or corporation that uses a name other than the owner s personal last name or legal name must obtain a DBA business name certificate. Registering a business using a fictitious name does not guarantee that another business cannot use the same name. It merely functions as a way for the state to identify the business owner(s). Contact the Office of the Secretary of State to register a fictitious business name.Register the business name as a corporate name if you want your business name to be protected from use by others in the same manner as a trade name. If you choose to do this, understand that the name must end with or include Company, Co., Corporation, Corp., Incorporated or Inc. Ohio Law guarantees that you can keep the corporate name as long as the corporation remains in good standing with the state. To register a name, contact the Office of the Secretary of State, 30 East Broad Street, 14th Floor, Columbus, OH 43266-0418 or telephone at (614) 466-3910. There is also a name availability line that you may call to see if a name is currently being used in the State of Ohio. The name availability line is (614) 466-0590.Hope this information is helpful! Good luck with your business!

Register with your county clerks office or parish clerk office the fee is about 75.00 per year, then register with your state department of tax office they should give you a tax id number to pay state taxes then, register and get your EIN number from the IRS to pay federal taxes. Those should be all of the registrations of your business. Call the SCORE they can also give you direction regarding your new business. This is a company that helps small businesse, most states have this organization. They also have an 800 number.

if town hall doesn t know-that makes no sense - try the county courthouse next - if you plan on using a ficticious name for your business, that requires a legal posting in the newspaper, and you will also need a state sales tax license

Where can I find good and correct information regarding candidates running for office? -

I would like to find a good website (or several websites) that will give me correct information regarding the candidates running for office (in the US), specifically for president. I dont want opinions or link to blogs, or any far right-wing or far left-wing sites that sugar coats the facts to make their party look good. Im looking for facts. I also make it a point not to vote for a specific party; I vote for the person who I feel will do a better job. In the debates you always hear of one person bringing up they voted this way or that, but the other person says its a lie. I dont follow every move the candidates make but obviously this is a critical presidential election coming up and I want to make sure my vote goes to the right person. Are there any websites that will give me good info? I will check out each candidates site, but I was wondering if there are any others? Thanks in advance.

If you want to review voting records, try Thomas (thomas.loc.gov). There are also a ton of books that you can buy. Try Congressional Voting Scores and Interest Group Ratings. I m not sure if DC is it s only location but if there is a Politics and Prose near you just go there and they have every resource you could hope for and their sales people are generally very informative/helpful.Hope this helps.

lol if you find out let me know- quite honestly, I think the only way is to pull up their voting records, listen to the reasons on why the voted that way, and check it against the bill. I look at fact checker.org alot, but in reality it s alot harder to get real concrete information, based on the whole picture and not just a small part here and there.

Is it best to hire a lawyer for paypal problem? -

My account has limited access and paypal wont release my funds. I cant deliver items to my buyers..Is hiring a attorney can fight my rights?

usually they provide some ways to verify your account like sending copy of bank account or passport etc. you will have to fax these to paypal given number. once this is done they will remove the limited access. I once had this issue with lot of money in paypal and was frightened but once I send the bank account statement, it was solved. Actually, limiting of accounts is done whenever they feel your account is being hijacked. (don t know how they do it, for me it was when I moved to different place and my IP address changed). so it is really a safety measure but it is sometime irritating to users..

It sounds like it s a new PayPal account. All of the terms and conditions are listed - and you agreed to them - when you set up your account, so a lawyer won t be able to help you. Log onto your account and actually read the Terms of Service that you probably just skipped over when you opened your account...therein lies your answers. If the buyers have paid for the item, you are required to send them whether or not you have access to the funds. The buyers have paid and the funds are there - PayPal will release the funds to you when your holding period is up. You have no reason not to send the items and can be penalized if you don t. I suggest you read eBay s TOS also.

You have signed away your rights when you accepted the Paypal user agreement; and further still when you listed this particular item, you were informed that funds may be held for 21 days- again you agreed before you listed. If you are selling then you need to have a surplus amount of cash that you use for posting, You cannot be saying you would make your Buyers wait for 4-7 days before money is withdrawn from Paypal to your Bank in order for you to post?

You have to be careful, as mentioned about reading the terms and conditions. Not sure if its worth using a lawyer for this or not going forward you want to make sure you are prepared. The resource listed below may help. good luckMichelle

Are you really going to spend $5,000 on a lawyer for a pay-pal issue?????

I sold an item on ebay.? -

Hello guys, I sold a item on ebay and the buyer emailed me that he will collect the item from me next day. He came near my address the next day to collect the phone and I went with the item near him. He was standing near a shop on a street. So as i mat him he said i dont want to do this transaction on the street but in your house. I was not to sure about this. So i took him outside my door and then he again said i dont want to do it outside but I want to do it in your house. So i took him in. He stared asking me questions about why r u selling the item and how my more do you have and he said i need to go on ebay and click the item saying that you have received the money. All this questions he should have asked when he wanted to buy the item.It looked like he just wanted to take his time in.I done what he said and then he asked me that he needs a written receipt from me with his addess and my address and that he has paid cash on collection.I dont know if i have done the right thing taking him in my house. Do you think i have done the right thing and was it safe. The buyer had over 100 feedbacks on ebay and so did I. The buyer looked bit strange.

His behavior is definately strange. He s right about marking the item paid. You should definately do that. And some people want a receipt for anything they buy, ever.He definately should have asked any questions about the item before bidding. But it doesn t sound like he was asking you personal questions, so that s good.It s his insistance that it be done at your house that concerns me. And inside the door wasn t good enough; he wanted to go all the way in the house. I get the feeling he could be casing it, to try to break in later.I did a search on ebay and didn t find any useful information about suspicious buyers and local pickups, unfortunately. I would suggest contacting them, either by email, chat or phone (you have to go to help, contact us, type in a question, then select a best answer before you can call or email). Ask if they have any advise.Next time insist on meeting at a public place. You really never know who you re dealing with online, unfortunately. If the guy really rubbed you wrong I d contact the local police and start looking into home defense/security options, personally.

Never let a stranger into your home. He could have done something very terrible and nobody would of noticed. When you have something for sale on ebay, make sure to let buyers know that PICKUP IS NOT AVAILABLE. That will keep you safe, and the buyer safe. Just have the buyer pay for shipping.

What is the difference between a Growing Product Market and a Mature Product Market? -

Does anyone know how to compare and contrast a grwoing product market to a mature product marketthanks:D

one way would be sales volume. in a gpm there would be increasing sales from year to year and in a mpm sales would be level (stagnant) or even declining, from year to year.
