Check ebay and craigslist to see what the equipment is selling for.It depends on how many stations (number of shirts) and colors you want to be able to do.Expect to spend probably about $1000 - $2000 to get anything close to equipment you can use to make shirts good enough to resell.Throw in another $500 - $1000 for a heat press or more for a belt dryer .Then you have to find a place to set it up for operation, might have to rent some warehouse or office space. Then inks, screens and the chemicals and equipment needed to make the screens. Probably at least another $500 - $1000.They you need to decide if you want to keep a stock of shirts on hand to get a better bulk price, or smaller more expensive orders of just enough to fill an order when you get it. Probably have to order about $500 worth of shirts to get a decent case pricing. There are 72 shirts to a case. If you want a case of S, M, L, and XL you are looking at 288 shirts by about $1.75 each when you include shipping. XXL and XXXL are more expensive. And those are just for white shirts. If you want colored shirts also you need a case of each of those. You can order shirts by just the dozen instead of whole cases, but they will have a higher each price. You also need to find/pay storage space for all of these, and probably racks. Then, the most expensive thing, you have to advertise either your shirt printing service or your shirts (or both).Do you need to pay someone to build a website for your new business? Someone to design the shirts? If you can get past all that, Have Fun!!!If you just want to get some shirts printed Check out 10ShirtsFor99.com They do FULL COLOR printing on the front, back, sides and sleeves with NO SCREEN CHARGE. They have lots of options and upgrades. Including an option for 1 shirt. There is even an option to get the 1 shirt free. http://www.10ShirtsFor99.com They also do single shirt drop-shipping at http://www.PrintOnDemandShirts.com(Yeah, they are my sites)
You would probably have to call around everyone has different prices.
If you are starting a business by yourself then, you must inform the HRMC within 3 months of existence. Then, you have to complete an annual self-assesment tax return and pay income tax on your profit. In addition you must pay a fixed rate national insurence contribution (Class 2) and another contribution based on your profits (Class 4).One Thing I May Mention. You will be personally liable for all debts incurred by the business. So you could lose your valuable personal belongings.

Since it is going to a company, it must be an award which can be displayed in their offices, photographed to print in their brochures, etc. It is ONLY of value to the company renting your booth space if it can be used to garner more business through a better reputation. Therefore, a plaque engraved with their name and:Best Booth AwardNAME Bridal ShowCity, StateDateCan t you come up with a better title than Best Booth Award? Rea-a-a-ly lame. Most Innovative Bridal Products, Bride s Best Friend (as voted by brides themselves!), Bride s Friend of the Year (again, that would have to be awarded as a result of voting by brides themselves), Bridal Marketer of the Year.... Come up with something!
With the economy like it is, a gift certificate for local restaurant or business would be really appealingg for people to strive for to win. Also, of course recognition ( like a certificate of appreciation/best booth) is a good addition to a gift certificate- try to make it unique to your show-have it in the color that is from yourCompanyr with your logo-signify its from your business to theirs.
Sorry don t know about technicalities of business, however, I thought of a nice name:Baby Love
It depends on how you operate your business. Let s assume that you are a sole proprietor. Then everything you deposit is income, but you have to really start keeping track of your expenses. Mileage, cleaning products you purchase, advertising you do (business cards and fliers), cell phone, uniforms, auto repair, etc.If you haven t been keeping your receipts you need to start doing so now, for next year. If you re not using a simple bookkeeping program like Quicken then you need to start at least keeping a daily journal of jobs you do each day. your starting mileage and ending mileage for the day. Any money spent on the business. Keeping the receipts in an envelope with the items circled that you used in your business. Keeping your cell phone bills. etc.I also suggest, if you are going to continue with this, that you open up an LLC, get insurance (you re working in other people s places of business and homes. If you break something how do you pay for it?). It is best to sit down with a good business coach, if you don t know one, message me and I ll connect one with you. One that can set you up to keep good records, and help you with your taxes so you can keep the most of your money that you can.
