How do I find a partner to open up an online store? -

I co-own a website that has a lot of traffic. We are currently getting about 900K US visitors and 1.1M worldwide visitors each month. The site is educational in nature and most of the visitors are students or teachers. I would like to expand the site to include a store that sells t-shirts, coffee mugs, mouse pads, and other branded items to our visitors. However, I am not sure what sort of items our visitors are likely to purchase, and I am not prepared to manage inventory and order fulfillment. As a result, I would like to partner with a company who could handle this for me and we could share the profits. How do I get started with this?

Photoflurry.com might be interested in working with you. I know they specialize in photo mugs. Visit their contact page to get started.

Can anyone give me a link for ISO procedures and policies....? -

... that is fairly generic?I am in the job market and I am studying production, and inventory in particular. Many of the job descriptions require knowledge of the iso policies and procedures.

This should give you all the information you need. Good Luck!www.iso.org/iso/iso_catalogue/manageme

Selling at an op shop??!? -

If i take a whole bunch of clothes and jewlerry and what not to an op shop (in australia), will they pay me money for it or will i have to give it to them for free?

The point of OP Shops is that they re for charity. It s basically crap you really don t want and don t care about. If you want to sell things, try Ebay. Some shops do offer a boon, though. Every bag of stuff you bring to a Saver s gets you a cumulative 5% discount (up to 25%), and there s a 20% discount for students on Sunday. Should be one around in your state.

How can I let people know I can babysit? -

Also, will people hire me? I m 12, almost 13.

The best way is word of mouth. If that s not reaching far enough, use local ads - classifieds in the local paper, cards in your local newsagent etc.You can also do PPC advertising if you make sure you set it up for local searches only. Most PPC sellers offer an introductory deal of a free $50 worth of advertising. That should be more than enough for you!

How to add the 613 percent to an amount in excel? I need to add 613% to $2.8476. Please help? -

Thank you so much DTH I got it right. Report Abuse

if you have $2.8476 in A1 then in B1 you could type=(A1*613%)+A1I am assuming that the $ sign is from the cell formating

How do I account for personal funds used to buy things for my business? -

I own a small ATV repair business and am having to pay for all the parts and materials used by the business with my own money. I am using Quickbooks for my business accounts. Should I create an expense account to keep track of everything I am buying or can I just list them as investments I am making into the business?

Daddy and I call it Owners Equity Cash Injection . It would be easier to tabulate this on a monthly basis. If your small business is a sole proprietorship, I would recommend injecting a surplus as operations capital. Depending on your state laws, or if your business in incorporated, you could actually make and interest bearing loan from yourself to your company. The money you loaned the company was already yours and had already been taxed. You don t want to be taxed on it again in 6 months or so when you go to get it back from your business.

You should track everything purchased for the business, as they can be written off against profits you make. If you don t, you ll end up paying more taxes than you should.

Is it illegal for an owner to participate in tips? -

A friend of mine owns a small coffee store. She works right along side with an employee. Sometimes she will only take a small proportion of the tips. There are never any complaints with whatever staff person happens to be working with her for that day. At the end of the day both share with whatever tips there are. The employee usually figures it out. Someone said that was illegal for an employer to share in the tips. We are talking $10-20 each.. Any experience with this? .

http://articles.latimes.com/2009/jun/03/The notion that it is wrong comes from the Starbucks Class Action Lawsuit. The Baristas had to share their tips with their shift supervisors... and this lawsuit has been going on for years.Just recently it has been reversed again. To be very honest.... an owner should have the moral obligation to either stay out of the tip jar or give their employees a living wage that doesn t require them to depend on tips as an income. If that employee makes minimum wage or little above.... the tips are hers. Because frankly dear.... the owner makes enough on the profits.

No. It is illegal to pay less than the state minimum wage. Many employees and employers believe it to be unfair for the owner of the business, who receives all the profits of the business, to also share in tips. It can be a disincentive for employees who have to share their tips with the owners.

I don t know about the legality of the owner taking a portion of tips meant for employees; I do however think it is unethical. How can an employee respect an employer who gives the impressin of being either needy or greedy enough to take tips?.

dude tips r 4 the buisness and u r an intrigal part of the buisness. it isnt illegal. who is the moron who told u that?

it s not illegal but it is a moral thing she should not take any tips from her employees
