How to I attract customers from an old employer? -

I am looking for some ideas to attract old customers from an employer where I used to work. I was a karate instructor for him, but now I opened my own school. I left on bad terms and many people have already left to come to my school and I am sure many others would as well, but many are not aware I have my own school and I do not have any contact info for them. How can I target those specific customers?

You left on bad terms and you are wanting to steal his customers too? Your integrity in business is a very important part. You will get more loyal customers if you go about it the right way and leave his customers alone. If you choose to feed off of other business people s hard work(like all the advertising that they put money into) your business will not last long because your greed and lack of integrity will show up in other parts of your business too. And it ll turn people off.

My company is currently a very small sole proprietorship that I operate out of my basement. I want to expand it by leasing office space, adding more dollars for advertising etc. If I change my structure to a LLC will I be able to get a SBA loan without using my ss# and personal financial information? Can you open a post office in any building? -

I have a project in college and I m to be selecting a new service for a building committee and convincing them that it would help the people in the building. The new service I want to select for my project is opening a post office for all the different companies within that building. Can you tell me if you can open a post office anywhere? Or would it be more of a mailing service, where you would trust other people to take you important documents to be mailed out?I m unsure if this is even possible. Thank you so much for any input.(sorry posted the first time in the wrong place lol)

Private citizens don t open post offices - the U.S. Postal Service does. You might want to look into a franchise type operation like Mailboxes, Etc. for instance.

Postal annexes are permitted just about anywhere. They must be requested with the help/blessing of local or state govt. We have one in a local pharmacy, staffed by federal personnel.

Do I need to record unpaid ebay invoices? -

I am VAT registered seller on ebay. Do I need to keep unpaid invoices in numerical order together with the completed ones? Or better keep them all separate and keep paid invoices in numerical order?

Ebay allows you to track your paid and unpaid items in My ebay, if people don t pay you can open a case which will ensure you either get your money from the buyer or your ebay charges will be waived. When you get paid for an item it might be an idea to print off the invoice so you have a hard copy which you can show the taxman.

To keep your books straight you do need to record all invoices whether they are paid or not. If you have sent items and haven t been paid for them then it is important that you show the goods as being paid for by yourself. If you print an invoice but the sale then falls through and the invoice never gets issued, then you need to do a contra entry invoice that will be the exact opposite of the original and therefore makes the total entry nil.
