Why does my employer want me to incorporate and become an independent contractor? -

I work for a company as a service representative. They pay me a salary, a set amount for expenses and commission on the accounts I service. They used to just pay me directly but now they are demanding I incorporate. They said they will pay the fees.Anyone know why they would want me to do it? Will this help or hurt me when it comes to taxes?

This is BS.They want you to incorporate so they can claim they are outsourcing the work to a corporation and then just write you a check. They want all risks, burderns, taxes, etc. to be your problem. They most certainly won t be paying you enough to do this. Besides, an employee is NOT a contractor. You, in turn, would then have to track all income, all expenses and issue yourself a W-2. See IRS pub 1779 and form ss-8.

For every dollar paid for payroll, roughly 30 or 40 cents more is paid by the employer towards tax s (Social Security), benefits and time off.If you are a contractor, then they pay exactly your invoice. You get stuck with the extra tax s and if you want time off, no one is going to pay you. Insurance is now going to be paid by you $$$Life is a little more uncertain as a contractor. Your clients can say, nothing today , and your stuck with no work for the day.If your a contractor, you need a billing rate to cover all of the above. So will your current employer agree to that? When I do the math, I need about double the hourly wage, to make up for the uncertainty and the extra tax s, etc..

It helps them avoid all the appropriate taxes such as workers comp, social security, medicare, unemployment premiums, etc. As an independent contractor, you will be expected to pick up the employer portion of SS/Medicare, won t qualify for unemployment, etc. Unless they are offering you a 25% increase in salary and payment of all fees, this is not in your benefit - especially if they are providing health insurance and other benefits.

This is for them not you. You have to pay all the employers contribution to taxes and since you are not an employee, no benefits like vac. pay, medical dental They want you to do it likely so they can stay afloat.

I want to do a maid agency. When I want to send back my maid I have to pay the ticket? -

Where can I get the details about do maid agency? What r the rules and regulations? What r the problems have to face? How do I give training the maid?when I start do I have to provide all nationals? How?Is it a good idea/business?What r the qualities I need?

I m in the United States, but this is what you would do here.See if any of this helps you, I know some will not apply, but, I saw that no one was helping you, so I thought I would put something down?Have you tried to get this information on the china part of the yahoo answers?I would start by looking into how much the citys business licensce costs. Also, how much liabilty insurance is.Then how much is costs to do a background check on the people you may want to hire. The pay rate...you add about 40% for taxes, say tou pay 10 per hour..your total cost would be 14 out the door..You need a federal employer tax ID #. ( Get from accouant this information...you need to deposit the taxes 4 times a year. You need to price workers compensation rates, they usally require a deposit on some minimual labor amounts to start the policy. Then price out some products that you will use.Becareful, you may need to pay for unemployment if you fire or lay someone off, this can be a big surprise..a costly one too.Figure this in you cost. You will need a place to start...and a good phone number for the business....Be careful if you lease something if the business fails, you may get stuck with paying the lease if you end the business.Good luck.

After selling a product on ebay, is there a way for the seller fees to be deducted from my sales? -

for example if i sold something for $60 and i have to pay $2 for the fees, is there a way for ebay to just subtract it from my sold item automatically, and then i would get $58 without having to do more. if there is a way can someone tell me how to do it?

Simply add the fees to your reserve price and charge for it on the front end. Don t forget about the fees you will pay via PayPal. Sometimes those are more expensive than the seller fees in eBay!

I have met similiar problem before, here list of sites http://webbiz3.notlong.com/5AAyC8m

PLEASE give me TIPS for building my house cleaning business? -

THANKS!

Be sure to pick up nick nacks rather than dust around them;A vinegar and water solution will leave windows spotless!Bleach based toilet tank cleaners erode the rubber flapper; andAlways wear a French maids outfit!

No, do not offer discounts--but promote your service as superior to others! Target areas/places where people are that are too busy to clean their own homes and don t have time to look for cleaners. Gyms, country clubs and places like that are good. Wear a shirt with your company name on it EVERYWHERE. Put magnetic signs or a vinyl wrap on your vehicle so you are a mobile billboard. I have more tips at my Squidoo lens-the link is in My Profile.
