Watch ebay and craigslist. Also look for business liquidating companies that sell off bankrupt / foreclosed company assets.

Place an ad in any free or low-cost media you can find. A salon that s going out of business may see the ad and give you a package deal on taking all their equipment off their hands. Otherwise, scour the Internet. People post things in all sorts of places, like craigslist, local classifieds, etc. Also check industry publications that may have a classified section or Internet forums that provide a place for owners to buy/sell their equipment. You may not be able to get a package deal for the price you re looking for. You may have to accept mix and match stuff or things that are not high quality or you could end up paying more than you want. If you want to start a reputable salon, I would suggest being more open as far as budget, since you don t want things to be obviously worn and you don t want your salon to not have matching items since that looks like you half-assed it. Lastly, be open to transporting it yourself if it s out of town. You can rent a U-Haul or you can borrow a truck and trailer from someone you know. Most people don t want to ship that kind of thing as it s very expensive and time-consuming.Good luck.

Internet research business issues and possible complications? -

A while back I inquired about the legalities of creating an internet research company. Ironically after doing lengthy research I am no closer to understanding the laws now than I was than. Here are my questions:1. Potential clients of mine want mostly internet links so they can look at the information themselves and print what they want, if necessary. However some want printed media sent to them. Do any of this fall under copyrigth law therefore preventing me from doing so. 2. Being a college graduate I have seen MANY graduate students and others of higher status pay runners or researchers to do the research for them. This research included mounds of copied material for reference purposes. Is what I want to do any different than what they are doing if they are getting paid for it? If so, how are they avoiding copyright infringement, the researchers I mean.My point is this...I am very talented at research and wish to use my talents for a second income, but of course doing it legally. I have networked for many potential clients and possibilities are there, but how do I do it? As many opinions as I can get would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Here are some answers:1) It seems to be free to register a company - Registering a limited company is not free. You have to pay a fee to Companies House. Visit their website for all the information you need on setting one up. You do need to register with Inland Revenue within 3 months of starting trading.2) Can i use the company if i get work/contract and hence leave it dormant when no work - You normally only make a company dormant when you re not trading for a whole year. Otherwise, if you have irregular work, you just keep the company and submit your annual returns - see next answer3) Are there any constant charges involved having a limited company, like yearly charges or whatever - Each year you have to submit an annual return, which shows the names of the directors and company secretary and shareholdings. This costs ��15 when you do it on-line. You also need to submit a set of accounts each year, even for dormant companies. There s no charge for this.4) What paper work do i need for tax things, do you only declare a tax return once a year - When you do your annual accounts for Companies House you usually do your Corporation Tax return.
