I work as an automotive tech i and am paid by the job. Is it legal for another employee to dictate my pay? -

Employees that are paid same as me and less qualified are allowed to hand out the work, and of course they keep the good paying work and starve who they want. Is this legal. I was not given one job yesturday but the lesser qualified team leader kept all the work for himself.

Sometimes the only recourse we have against unfair business practice is to look for another job. Let them go out of business. They may want someone that agrees with them rather than a good worker.Unemployment insurance is not always on our side. There is often office politics involved, the bosses friends get the easy high paying jobs.Try to go over their heads, email the corporate office. Even then you re fighting an uphill battle.

Is it legal to pay an employee piece rate and comission, or hourly (whichever is greater)? -

I was wondering if it is legal to pay an employee a base hourly rate, or a comission or piece work rate depending on which one is greater, and how would you figure out the overtime pay?

it is legal

Comissioned salespeople don t have to be paid OT. And that pay plan is fully legal.

Whats the deal on these quot;work-at-homequot; schemes.......and scams? -

Just made $198 today, working at home ........I m starting to see more and more of these on the net.....do they work?.......HOW do they work?........sounds too good to be true.Anybody out there have any experiences?

Please dont listen to these people saying they are ALL SCAMS. They are not ALL scams, just MOST of them are, LOL. I am a single mom of 2 girls who has tried over 15 opportunities in the course of 2 years so I have some great information for you on how to find a LEGIT way to work from home plus a list of top 10 work at home scams! People are looking for work from home and the biggest problem is they dont understand that there really are NO WORK AT HOME JOBS. You will not find hourly pay from home. You can look forever, youll never find it. The only way to earn an income from home is to find a legit home business. Small home businesses have increased in the last 5 years by about 200%? People are really starting to realize that if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. The best home businesses to start are those with a proven plan in place like Avon or Mary Kay however if you are like me, you are not interested in pushing products. Legitimate small home businesses should have a small costs involved but be careful, all the scams will be charging too so know the business. Talk to a REAL person and ask questions. Less than $500 to start is reasonable and I would stay away from those wanting $1000-$5000. If you are coming across places that say free then I would RUN dont walk the other way! They never are in the end. After trying 15 things I now work about 20-25 hours per week for a well known and respected company with amazing credentials. This company actually helps keep Americans Safe and Secure by offering Medical and Dental plans at affordable rates that anyone can afford. We also have SecureNet which helps Americans Protect their children in a program called National Child ID in partnership with the FBI. We also help Americans get back on top of their finances with Foreclosure Avoidance, Debt Relief, Credit Repair and more. We have over 10 programs ranging from $15 to only $40 a month per household which help Americans save many and stay safe. Americans have saved over 1 BILLION dollars with these plans.I started with this company 2.5 years ago and started making $500 a month within only a few months. That income has increased now to over $3000 a month which has been a blessing for my family. The best part is they have 401(k), direct deposit, life insurance and a benefits package from day one. There are NO products, NO hard selling or pushing, NO cold calling, NO home parties and no telemarketing! That was VERY important to me. I absolutely love working with them and I can t believe I am making what I am making and in so few hours per week. The neat thing is there are other people on your team that you work with so you are never alone even though youre at home. I was a bit apprehensive at first because I know a lot of companies are not legit but this companys credentials FAR SURPASSED any other home business I had ever seen. SOME of our NATIONAL partners and credentials are National Association of Dental Plans, Dunn and Bradstreet, Consumer Health Alliance, US Chamber of Commerce, Parent Magazine, US News and World Report, Dozens of Fortune 500 companies like Sears, Target, Walmart and Lenscrafters and Time Magazine. We are even currently being featured on WeTV, Lifetime and Oxygen. Most important, to solidify our legitimacy youll feel the utmost comfort in knowing that we are partnered with the FBI. Research the company at www.workathomeplus.net.No matter what you decide at least check it out, request a interview to get more information and at a MINIMUM read this list of top 10 work at home scams so you can protect yourself!10. Craft Assembly 9. Medical Billing 8. Email/Rebate Processing 7. A List of Companies Looking for Home workers! 6. Just pay for and take this class first Then well give or find you a job! 5. Envelope Stuffing 4. Turn Your Computer Into a Money-Making Machine! 3. Pyramid Schemes (this is NOT the same as Multi-Level Marketing MLM)2. Chain Letters/Emails ( Make Money Fast ) 1. Typing At Home / Data Entry (HUGE SCAM)As for those of you who say..I want to work from home but I dont want to have to pay for anything. Well, thats great! But it will never happen. Lets be honest, there is no such thing as a free lunch. If it is a true honest home business you need to expect to pay. Mr. Walt Disney didnt start the Disney empire without paying for anything. Neither did Mr. Sam Walton, owner of Wal-Mart.If you want to learn about REAL home businesses visit: www.workathomeplus.netGood luck to you in your search. Here the deal, the Internet is the most powerful tool in the world, The World, so heck yeah you can make money online and not get scammed and not spend a single dime, you just need the right information and a little will power, that s all it takes. Don t let anybody tell you there all schemes because there not all scams. I pay my light bill, cable bill and the rest of my bills with money I make online using free and super easy GPT sites, http://www.wedolikemoney.blogspot.com

Went to that site. http://helpkorner.com It was horrible and not one sentence was understandable. The whole thing is being written by an article re-writer script that isn t very good. This site makes money if you click on their Google ads.Best way to go is to search for the work at home site you are being offered and add the word scam to it in Yahoo or Google. Most of the offers online are not really scams but are very hard to make any money with unless you already know a lot about marketing online.. You can check out the companies online at: http://www.onlinebusinessbureau.com also go to: http://scamgrabber.com for a listing of mlm companies. My personal favorite site to check out anything I m not sure of is: http://www.scambusters.org If you truly want to make money online go to http://clickbank.com find a product you are interested in, advertise it in free classifieds or write articles and submit them to directories.I ve been doing this and it seems to work great for me. Best of luck Carol

They are all scams, any money made is from scamming other people. So you have to be both a sucker and a low life to get involved.

They re mostly pyramid schemes, where you gain money from recruiting people into the program. Not worth it.

Starting an animal shelter? -

How would you go about doing that? Also, could I do a shelter for only prego dogs, cats, Hamsters, guinea pigs, and rabbits? cause I think that it s the progo ones (to far along to be spayed) that have trouble... Here s some of my plans- Save up as much money as possible till i can actually do it, Get a house with hug-ish backyard Get carpenter to build a small building in the back yard, with lots of places for cages, and a fenced in running area. I know this sound all dream-ish, so i also need help making them more reality XDI m saving up money now, 14 years in advance.

You ll need a lot of money and planning to do this so its good you are starting now. A shelter will likely be considered a commercial or industrial property if you plan to house a lot of animals, so you may not be able to do it on a residential property (one with a regular house). You ll need to create a non-profit company, get approval for your non-profit business there as well as building permits. You ll also need to find out the impact of all the waste on the area (can t have tons of dog poop washing into your neighbors yard)...again a commercial or industrial property may be better. Think about how you ll raise money as you won t be able pay for it all yourself. You ll need to think about contracting with and paying for vet, especially for complicated pregnancies...as well as food, cleaning, medical supplies, toys, etc. So...to get started...when you are old enough start volunteering at your local shelter or pet rescue organization. You will gain lots of experience in caring for the animals and will learn alot as well as make lots of contacts. As the owner of two rescued cats, thank you in advance for helping the animals!

thats a good idea...you wanna help animals :) thats sweet...good luck.http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AsUWl_U3GLApMzSTEdY85Gvsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20091021180558AAohd7W

I m sure you have to have many licenses, and some schooling.

I wanted to do modeling, any ideas how i can start off? -

i ve bee modelling for about 3 years now. I got started by signing up to www.modelmayhem.comIts a great networking site with some very talented people on it.If you start off by doing TFCD/TFP (time for cd/time for prints) shoots this means that neither you or the photographer pay each other but you both get to use the pictures for your portfolios. There are other sites out there that do a similar thing such as purestorm.com but modelmayhem is my favourite. If you start off by maybe paying for 2 or 3 professional pictures (head-shot and full length to show off your figure) you can get these done at professional photographers all over - i can recommend doubletake studios if you live in the uk. All you need is 2 or 3 good pics to start off your portfolio and show photographers what you ve got to offer them so that they ll be willing to work with you TFCD or maybe even pay you!Once you ve got started you can also register with a website like starnow.com which is all paid work.My main word of advice is never go to a photo-shoot alone - always take a friend or family member. If a photographer has a problem with this don t do the shoot! I have worked with many professional photographers who all encourage young girls to bring a chaperon for their own personal safety and so you feel secure. Hope this helps - good luck!

Send a portfolio of yourself to some modelling agencies.
