First of all if you can t spell designing you will have some trouble in that business. Try going to SBA.gov before approaching any bank. But really if you have just taken some courses, but haven t had any on the job work, no one is really going to support you unless you have done some original designs yourself. First thing is to go get a job in your field to know what it is like in the field. Remember that graphic design courses give you the basics, while in the real world we go beyond the basics, so it is best to learn that while you are at a job so then you can take what you learned there and from other more experienced employees to gain wisdom to begin your own business. Just taking some courses isn t enough.

Hi, I am sixteen years old and in one of my business classes are objective is to start a company and I am starting a clothing company. How can I get a lot free publicity to my business? I was wondering if also if their is some where on the internet where I can buy blank tee shirts and maybe jeans and put my brand name on them and sell them. thank you soo much!!!

I dunno, I d stay away from starting a clothing company. The market is way too saturated. I can buy good cotton t-shirts for $0.50 each myself and they must make a profit on that AND pay taxes.But if I was to start one I d first go and talk to as many shops/markets/local wholesalers I could find to see what feedback I get (what they need, what they want to pay) and if positive I d fly to taiwan or india and see what it is like over there for price, design etc.If it works ok you can bring them in one or two times and when you know the way you can start your own local place and undercut all the silly buggers and become rich ;)Or you could carry on supplying but just move up in quality and fly to Europe to see what you ccan bring back. Anything that ends with ini or cci is bound to be a killer!
