Do small businesses really create good jobs? -

i often hear (mostly from conservatives) that obama has killed small businesses , but i also read that this assertion is bogus because small business can hire people to work for just a few hours per week with no health insurance so these are not usually good jobs anyway. perhaps the truth lies somewhere in between.

There are small businesses and then there are micro businesses. A small business has about 40 employees. A micro business is more like the mom and pop store. I m not sure which one those you re referencing. Usually a small business will provide health insurance, although they don t HAVE to, and it s usually not great. (Expecting an employer to provide it is a flawed system.)In most cases, this insurance is expensive or has huge deductibles. My friend works for a small business where she has to come up with 10,000 out of pocket before the her small business health insurance pays a penny. No meds, no preventive, no doctor visits until you reach and pay that $10,000.In a micro business, it s run by mostly family, with only maybe 4 outsiders, tops. I knew a store, big for my area, but he staffed with only family. (he had a huge one.) Micro businesses usually hire other micro businesses, (freelance accountants, web designers, copywriters, etc) instead of having them on staff. The hours are sporadic, it s true. Micros don t give health insurance or any other benefit. They can t afford it. It s all they can do to stay afloat themselves. I live in area that has Kmart, Wal-Mart, home depot and maybe 10 chain restaurants. If you don t work for one of them, (or the government) you work for small or micro businesses. I ve worked for both micro and small business almost all my life. I have to buy my own health insurance, and it s expensive. In the past, I have taken jobs I ve hated just for the insurance. I once gave up a job I really enjoyed because I just couldn t afford to keep it. (micro business.)I blame the economy for killing them both.

Well, small business is a very vague term. It covers brand new companies with zero revenue as well as 10 year old companies with multi-million dollar annual sales. Fact is, MOST jobs in America are within small businesses. No one can say what is or isn t a good job; one man s trash is another man s treasure, but even if you have a job with an extremely small company and no benefits, you now have the opportunity to grow with the company and become the department head of a National Company as it expends. I would say that is a GREAT job.Obama has killed some small businesses because of his far left policy s but even conservatives must understand that the economy and not having people to spend money is what s mostly hurting us. The absolutely best companies to work for (safest) are larger, small businesses. Big Corporations have a ton of overhead and downsize during hard times to save cash flow; very small companies do not have the reserve cash necessary to hold over through the hard times. The medium sized companies have low overhead and plenty of cash reserves and when run properly, they actually expand and eat up market share during the tough times. This provides the most security you re going to get.

Do I have to be a wholesaler to buy from a site that targets wholesalers? help? -

I made an account with a site and ordered a product without realizing that I had created a Dealer login. Will I get in trouble? I am not a dealer but it let me buy the product. please help I think that I am worrying too much

relaxthere is no law about what you say to suppliers of goods on the internet.

The only time you need to worry that you are not a wholesaler is if the company that your buying the item(s) from asks for your resale license in order to take the sales tax off. Even then is not mandatory - but having one will make things cheaper. A resale license is used by businesses who collect sales tax and send it to their state sales tax fund. Keep on buying, as long as you have the money. You have not broken any rules or laws.

Do CPAs make enough money? -

CPAs make a LOT of money!

HI CPA with 5 at least 5 years experience can make about $80K to $100K p.a.For more than 8 years experience (you will be in position of a director or SVP) it will be from $150K to $250K p.a.Also important is the attitude and adaptability.

Im a sucker for get-rich-quick schemes? -

So can somebody tell me a legitimate way to make a lot of money?Preferably something that I can do at home, requires little time, and does not require me to sell anything.

I will only wish you the very best, and hope that you will succeed in becoming rich quickly. If you do, you will certainly be in the minority from the rest of us who have to work long years for our assets. But good luck - I really mean it.

How do weapon manufacturers start? -

Like for example; Boeing, Colt, or Bushmaster.

You can read up on your example companies histories (in Wikipedia or elsewhere) to get the details.Otherwise, weapons manufacturing is just a business. So, start it like you would any other.Example: ask the authorities about basic requirements, find financing, get a license from a foreign manufacturer (say, whoever makes Kalashnikovs), fill up all the documents with your state, find land, build a small factory, hire people, manufacture the weapons, sell them to local distributors and you are on!A certain amount of bribing (or lobbying, as the kids call it these days) may do wonders with the afor-mentioned authorities, but don t tell them I advised you on that ;-)
