If you own a business you are self-employed and therefore not unemployed. However if your business shuts down you may then be consider unemployed and perhaps eligible for unemployment insurance money.
NO NO-Your employed when your in business -its your business.If you want to collect unemployment while self employed you ll have to incorparate.but be carefull-once incorperated you cant clse out your business if you owe loans and your going to pay fines..wish you never did it--ouch!!!
