Sold an item on Ebay and now the buyer wont return item first? -

I sold a figurine total of 37 bucks with shipping. when it was shipped it got damaged by UPS. I contacted UPS and they issued me a check for the 37 dollars. I asked the buyer to return the item to me due to I want the item back to check it out and hopefully salvage it. The buyer wants me to reimbursed him for the shipping back. I stated on my listing that there were no returns and I have been trying to work with him. But I don t want to go into a hole over this. What do you think?

Well, If UPS already paid you back, THE BUYER must return the item to you, before you can send him the $37.00 refund. You are not supposed to also pay for the shipping back to you, that s his job. So the only thing you can do, is wait for your item back, (BUYER should pay for shipping) and when he does, give him the refund.Unless you want to help out with shipping, and help him out with half, how big is this figurine?
