I am selling $200.00 bracelets out of my home and my only contact is through email...I am just starting? -

I have 2 GENERAL questions....ok, 1. is it ok if I will only be able to accept cash on delivery or money order or checks?2. what is the approximate ratio of people will purchase if I post my flyers all around apartments etc... 1/10 people.....1/100?live in houston so it s pretty big city....the bracelet is handmade and come from London...thanks

Don t accept checks, just do cash or money order, people can stop payment on checks. Are the bracelets $200 each? If so most people want pay that much for something that is not from a store. They want to be able to return it, and sounds like they can t with you.Good luck in the business. Why not try going to small jewelry stores and see if they will consign some for you.

You are pretty clueless about buying habits. The conversion rate on the internet for this types of purchases (people who convert a desire into a purchase) is typically about 1.5%. That means that for every 100 people who look, 1.5 people will buy.Take into consideration that your product is expensive, you are selling very hocky (who would buy from flyers posted at an apt) and you only take cash/mo so it s not easy to purchase - your conversion rate is going to be a LOT lower than the statistics. You would be lucky to get 1:500 or more.

I think you are going to need LOTS of luck with this. I can t imagine anyone buying a $200 bracelet or ANY item for that amount of money...from a flyer or email.I m sure the bracelet is nice, but unless you live in a very wealthy section of Houston, I don t think this is going to happen for you. I hope you haven t already paid for these things yourself.

1. I would not buy from anyone I didn t know who wouldn t take a check or credit card, and didn t have a business name, address, and phone.2. I wouldn t buy anything that cost more than $19.95 from a flyer.Try posting it on ebay, and sign up with PayPal.
