Can I use an EIN to open a personal bank account in the US? -

If I form an LLC and get an EIN, can I use it to open a personal bank account or only corporate account?Thanks.

In order to get the ein I would assume you have a social security card , if you do that s all you need, if you don t have a social security card you can use many identification cards. I cannot answer what kind of id s they accept ,but I now that in many banks ,and credit unions they accept many id s or you can open one with your ein ,but that one is going to be in the name of the company not in your name.Go to the bank ,and tell them your situation I m sure there is a solution ,but go to many banks because they work different ,and I personally I would suggest a credit union they are better ,and they have lower interest ,and higher yields.
