you ask ebay (: be like yo ebay lemme sell this sh^t real quick and they ll be like iight i got you! Nah im joking (: you probably believed me here is how Step 1 Decide what you re going to sell. Before you list an item, search eBay to see if people are selling it already. If there s nothing like it on eBay, chances are it s not a very good thing to sell because not a lot of people are going to look for it. If a lot of people wanted it, there would be a ton of people selling it. It s best to sell something that you can find a lot of on eBay. Step 2 Take pictures of your item. Obviously, the more pictures the better. The problem is that it takes a little while to take the picture, put it on your computer and upload it onto eBay. It also costs money if you advertise more than one picture. If you re selling something cheap, you don t need a lot of pictures. One will probably do. If you re selling a car, upload as many pictures as possible and tell people to contact you if they want more. Step 3 Choose your price. You want to price your item competitive. If someone is selling a camera new for $200, you could be selling a barely used one that you don t want any more for $120. People would be willing to pay less if they re not going to use it all of the time or they only want it for a vacation and don t want to trash a new one. Step 4 Pick a quick shipping service. Most people would rather pay more for a quick shipping service than wait 2-3 weeks for a standard service. Also ship USPS. They ship 6 days a week excluding holidays while UPS and FedEx only ship 5 days a week. Step 5 Allow returns. If you don t, people will think something is going on and wonder why. Charge a restocking fee of 15%. This way you won t lose money through your listing and PayPal fees. Step 6 Invest in a mini photo studio if you re going to be listing a lot of items. The pictures will look professional and they will also make the item look great. If you follow these steps, your garage will be cleaned out in no time.
