I don t believe you are going to get many responses by simply leaving books around. I think you will need to be a little more personal about it. Try to speak with your potential customer, perhaps give them a sample or show them something in your book you think would be good to try. Try to sell in a location where there might be multiple customers(work,school,gym,etc...). People tend to follow others, if someone sees a person buying something, they may feel more comfortable about buy something themselves.http://www.youravon.com/dsatar
Your particular area may not be interested in Avon products. Perhaps get another booklet based business so you can double up? Betterware is very good. I did it for a year and earned about $300 per week. http://www.betterware.co.uk/Content2.aspBetterware is kitchen products so it will not conflict with Avon Products.Perhaps you could add an insert letter with your booklet/s? The letter could say something about yourself, like an introduction about their local representative. Add your mobile or phone number, better to get a separate number than your home number
Take your books wherever you go and talk AVON to everyone you come in contact with. Have an AVON open house invite all your neighbors and call it a getting to know you party. Make sure you have business cards made up and you can even get window decals and car magnets made up. Wear something AVON always so when people ask you can share with them what you do. Search online for AVON templates, there are a lot of great sites out there made for reps like you. Good Luck!
