It s not possible to start a small business that you run independently without ANY upfront costs, if you want to be (a) legal and (b) successful. Obtaining a company name, opening a bank account, filing government paperwork, etc. all cost at least something. Then, there are costs associated with getting the word out. I recommend having at least $500 to start, with at least $350 earmarked for marketing. Sell personal assets to start or borrow the money if you don t have it. Keep in mind even lenders would need to see a business plan (another expense unless you do it yourself).
Make deals with other to acquire stuff to sell, Lemons (talk to boss) and make lemonade to raise revenue for example!Dont forget to pay whoever gave you the stuff back!!!!! business owners are pretty lenient to younger people who want to make money the RIGHT WAY, especially if the business owners started and raised the business all by them selves!Consistency a smile and a willingness to finish everything you start is the backbone of every single business on the planet.Have you tried auctioning your writing, desigh or programing skills to the highest bidder?Google is your friend, with 15 years im sure you wont have a problem finding those websites on google.
I think having 15 years computer experience gives you a huge advantage regardless of where you live, CoolMe. With that background you can work locally or you can work online.A quick, easy way to make some money without up front costs is to sell excess things you have around the house on eBay. Take a look on eBay to see how similar items are listed and what they re selling for. Then you can sell similar items. Once you get the hang of eBay, you can sell your own items such as items you pick up locally from yard sales and similar.Another approach would be to check out books on Amazon. Go to Amazon.com and search for books on income opportunities or low cost businesses or computer businesses or similar. Amazon let s you search the table of contents and index of the books so you ll be able to find a whole list of businesses (probably many that you never thought of). If you find a book that looks particularly helpful, you can buy it or borrow it from your local library. These are a few thoughts to get you started. I wish you good luck and would be happy to hear how you make out.
