How to advertise this ? -

I have bought a lot of brand new tongue bars and I am trying to sell them all on for just 2 each! Which is cheaper than usual because tongue bars are usually 4 each!!I have put 10 on ebay .. my ebay name is 8962danielle .. can someone please tell me why there not selling on ebay, have i wrote something wrong or something? how can i change it?? how else can i advertise?? i have a lot more than 10 btw THANKS

Sometimes getting shot of stuff on Ebay ain t as easy as you may think, I ve had a few cracks at making a regular income on Ebay flogging things (using stuff bought from local charity shops + the Wholesale/job lots section of Ebay to try get things started)....... and as a result I ve now got about 4 watches, 2 jigsaws + a s***load of neckchains hanging around the place I haven t been able to get shot of (and probably spent more advertising them on Ebay than the blinkin things cost in the first place in the case of most of em).If you ve got a personal website, try sticking the EBAY EDITOR KIT tool on one or more of your pages: http://eks-api.ebay.co.uk/If you haven t got a personal or business website yet, here s a list of places you can get free ones: http://www.jdaltpol.co.uk/webdesignchitcAnd if you need tools to build a website, here s a couple of free ones:http://netobjects.com/html/essentials.hthttp://www.coffeecup.com/free-editor/

I found yours by doing an advanced search for the seller. Then I did a search for tongue bars, to see how yours compared. And then I went to completed listings, to see how they have been selling in the past week.Out of 500 I checked, there were fourteen sales from UK, two from Thailand and four from Hong Kong. That means 480 were unsold. It would be fair to reason that they are not a very popular item. One completed sale was for 5 tongue bars, sold to the only bidder for 99p and postage was 1.40. There were hundred of unsold single bars offering free postage from Hong Kong. Many of the successful sales had a crystal gem, or a smiley, or something to make them stand out more than the competitors, and even then hundreds more identical tongue bars did not sell.I did a search for the cheapest completed auctions - one UK seller featured twice with a sale for 75p and free postage. His items were very similar to yours. Another offered buy-one-get-one-free for 99p and free postage. There were a few from Hong Kong, single bars for 99p and free postage.Overall, I think it is the wrong product to be an eBay top seller, and you might do better if you reduced the price to 1, but based on the number of actual sales out of 500, those chances are slim. Sorry I don t have better news for you.

I ve just typed in tongue bar into ebay and lots of results came up, and i didn t come across your name sorry. However i will point out that when creating your advert you need to think of yourself as a buyer to re-read your ad. The title needs to be something that people will search for, i.e putting brands in names or maybe a minimal bit of description and you need to make your advert catchy on the actual item page. Use colours and capitals to catch a readers attention. I\f you could ve linked to your items page that might of helped.

Get a nice ebay template to sell your items and push how much cheaper they are than anywhere else.Furthermore, perhaps you should look at folksy.com or etsy.com
