What does being an Avon representative involve? -

Im Interested in becoming an Avon representative, but im not sure exactly what it involves. How do you sell the Avon stuff, do you go to peoples doors,or do you have parties at a house where people can buy? or do you just post cataloges? is it easy to do, do you have to buy loads of products to show people. any info you have please let me no :) thank you x

Whenever you start a business, it is a good idea to announce to your friends, family, co-workers and neighbors about your new business venture and ask them if they would like a catalog. You should also let them know that you would appreciate it if they would keep you mind if they are interested in having a party, ordering something and telling anyone they know who is looking for an Avon Rep.You could go door to door and let your neighbors know or just leave a catalog on their doorknob if that is allowed in your neighborhood. To build a customer base, make sure you have business cards with you at all times to give to people who ask What do you do? You don t need to buy loads of products, but you may want to gradually grow a small inventory of the most popular products to have on hand to show people. There are many other companies out there that use indpendent representatives/distributors/consultants Most have a lot fewer reps to compete against for business and a higher profit margin. Other companies may offer more training on marketing methods, too. Before you sign up I would suggest that you do some research and look around at several other opportunities to make sure there isn t something else out there that might be more profitable that you would enjoy.Whatever you decide to do, make sure you enjoy and use the products yourself. The discount you get as a rep will help your budget and you will find it easier to talk to people about the products if you are an enthusiastic user of them yourself.Good luck!

There are certain steps that you should follow.1. First thing you should have Good Selling Skills , i mean you should know how you can convince the people to buy products from you because this is the art that a sales person should have then he will be an Avon Representative.2. If you are planning to go in a party to sell something then you should have good collection of Goods as well as you should have products as per the party standard and the people that are present there.3. Catalog having is a kind of thing by which you can also sell online. Thanks

step 1: sell your soul to avonstep 2: alienate your friends and family by becoming the avon lady step 3: profitNo, I m just kidding around.. But seriously... Everything you said above is a reality. It all depends on what methods you wish to implement. Unfortunately, most people don t do their business right, which is what causes my three step process to occur. The best way, would be door to door, but not in your neighborhood - this way, it s strangers. Read some books on marketing, advertising, and sales. These will teach you more than you could learn in a 1000 years on your own.

you should talk to your contact but yea you will probably have to buy the inventory to show at parties at wholesale prices then find the people to sell to. mostly doing parties. the problem with independant sales is its not stable income. you may go weeks even months without a sale. im a firm beleiver in if you have to pay someone to sell their product stay away. who knows you may make a ton but again you may not. why dont you post a question on here and try to find others experiences selling avon. avon has been around a long time so im sure theres a market just not sure how much of that market you will/can realistically get.

to my knowledge, you can do whatever you want to do to sell their products. You probably have to buy some to show potential customers, then you can middle man for them. It s like, they give you a catalog and then you re on your own, if you can sell stuff, you might make a few bucks on the deal. That s it.

Nothing else, but having the ability to persuade someone to buy the product in a people-person manner.
