A cafe is definitely a great choice. I suggest Costa Coffee. Makes alot around here.
You have several great options available to you, Nina. Specific opportunities are dependent upon your area of the country, as well as your background, interests, investment capability, and financial goals. Fast food, pizza, coffee, and smoothies are some of the obvious ones that first come to mind. Staffing and personnel services, check cashing service, hairstyling, and fitness centers would do well also. Some of the articles that I ve written about franchising will help you in the information gathering process: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Cory_BaI would be happy to discuss specific franchise opportunities available to you in your area if you would like.
college students like fast cheap food...so this would equate to a Dominos Pizza, or other pizza joint, a burger franchise, McD s BK Wendy s Sonic. It really depends on how much capital you have and location / territory availability. National Franchises do not come cheap.
Boy let s see, there is a coffee shop, wireless coffee shop, gym, club, sporting good store, karaoke bar, tons of stuff that college students don t have time to go out and do..groceries for those that live in the dorm or nearby houses, shipping and receiving place is a good one! Good luck :)
anything food related that does not have any or much direct competition (if there are already 3 sub shops, a Subway would not be a good choice)
Any coffee house or sandwich shop will make a KILLING!!
