as soon as the buyer pays it goes into your paypal account and you will be notified by email,you will then need to transfer the money from your paypal account to your bank account which i think takes between 5-10 days to clear.but once the money is in your paypal account it is safe and then you are expected to post the item you sold.
It depends on how you sell the laptop. If you sell it on an auction site, it depends on the ending date of the suction and when after that the buyer pays. If you sell it through a classifieds site, it depends on when a buyer pays. The email notification from PayPal is sent the same day payment is submitted.You also have the option of sending an invoice through PayPal with the potential buyer s email address, if the item is not posted online.
You can check that the payment is in your Paypal Account( you should also receive an email from Paypal showing the monies have arrived into your account). Once the funds are in your Paypal Account, you can then transfer the funds to your bank account/credit card account you have recorded with Paypal.
