Where do you go to get government grants for a small business? -

The Small Business Administration does give grants, but usually to nonprofits that in turn help small businesses (by giving advice, typically). On the other hand SBA does have a number of loan programs. The one grant program that consistently funds small to medium businesses is the Small Business Innovation Research program. Generally.....you don t.Contrary to what some scam artists want you to believe, the government does not give money to individuals to pay bills, pay debt or even start a business. Certain government agencies may help if you are in a cutting edge industry (ie. weapons development, pharmaceutical research, bio-fuels, etc.)

They don t. But, if you want to try, go to grants.gov/ and follow the instructions
