Before talking to anyone about it get a signed NDA (except that is for Chartered Patent Attorneys...you are covered by their charter)Firstly, make sure it is NEW (do product and patent searches)...Then make sure it WORKS (build one and test it if you haven t already). Lastly protect it:- make sure its YOURS... apply for a patent.Thats the easy bit tho ...The hard part is turning a promising idea into a product.
Go to the UK patent office and European patent office and make an application for a patent. Otherwise when you start selling it you will be out of business within months.Then approach companies who sell similar products and make a deal to manufacture and market it. Don t give up even if the companies are difficult to convince.
