I dont think the success of any busines is a fluke, it comes down to your own drive and determination to see yourself reach the end goal, plus it take a lot of hard work. Have you looked at other options to this though? If you want to take a look at what I do this might interest you if you re looking at other ways start a new business.I lost my job about 6 months ago and with me having limited skills and cash I turned to the internet to try and make some money. Everyone says they re a scam and honestly I thought they were but dont believe it when people say they are ALL a scam. Its not true! I found one that does work and made me a good income all this time and I live pretty comfortably off what I make each month, better than at my old job anyway. I found maverick money makers and you can learn from these really detailed video tutorials how to earn money. The guy who does them goes into tons of detail so its really easy to follow, and not just one way either he teaches about 20 known ways that have worked for me its really cool. Check out the site below and you can see him taking you through some of the stuff he does. the joining fee is $97 and its guarenteed too, if you re totally useless and havent made the sort of money you want in 60 days you can have your money back :)Hope that helps you and whatever you end up doing, good luck! :-D
Darrell, presuming you have talent in this area, I like this type of business. As an industry, it passes two big tests for me: Stability (people will always get married) and expansion possibilities (as you meet people, you can grow into retirement parties, birthdays or anniversaries). So, a few things to pay close attention to if you want to gain an edge on the competition. For one thing, your technology must always be up to date, with high-quality camera equipment and editing software. Those are costs you must build into your planning. In addition, your customer service has to be impeccable. This is very much a people business, far more than it is a technology business. The big question mark is how you will market the business. You may have to offer to do some work at a very steep discount to get your foot on the first rung of the ladder. Or you may have to do some investing in advertising (online might be effective here). Or you might be able to cut a deal with some wedding planners, offering them a piece of the profits. The good news is that this is a low(ish) overhead business to create, with your only fixed costs being technology and your own need to eat. Keep costs low, grow conservatively and I think you can make this happen.
For instance, my wedding clients pay me $229.00 for the first dvd and ... For my first dvd burn, I chose a 60-minute program I have saved on my computer. ... Because Anne had mentioned that SP (two hour) mode was just as good to ... I popped in the dvd and up came my chosen background with the name of my project.
