Could a good manager overcome poor systems that are in place and still be effective? -

Do you think we need both good mangers and good systems in order to operate successfully? Why?

A lot of times, Managers are hired to bring change and to solve problems within the organization. The Universality of Management principle states that Managers are ethically bound to make any situation they are involved in better than before because they have the knowledge to do so. So this means that not only are informed Managers are in need, It also means that Managers are hired to make any organization more effective and efficient though their decision-making skills. The Universality of Management principle also states that Managers are held responsible for the mistakes of their span of command and are held liable for such mistakes, which means that when things go wrong usually the first person fired is the manager EVEN IF THE MISTAKE WAS NOT THE MANAGER S FAULT. No business venture will be successful without a solid vision and a through mission statement. To be economically viable, and compete, the company has to have the best systems at it s disposal. With outdated company resources, how can the company compete with other companies who do have state of the art technology. This truth holds especially true for companies who rely on internet to conduct business.
