Start your business on ebay, or on yahoo market place, you can start from scratch making ebooks (or other digital content) about 1) what you are passionate for 2) what you are expert in 3) both 1 and 2 - you have risks like any other business but here mr google can be your market analyzer, and virtually you can do evertything from your homely home.
If you are IT literate - you might want to consider setting up an IT Training Business. Training people on the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and other Software Packages)To minimize costs, you will do the Training on site. E,g Training Centres or Organisations (that have training facilities for their staff) This significantly reduces set up costs.
