don t get involved. you just end up losing money in the end unless your the the TOP upline of the supposed team you are under. They are the ones who pressure you into going to meetings and trainings that involve out of pocket travel expenses and other events you have to pay out of pocket attendance fees. They also entice weak minded people by showing you a fake bonus paycheck and claim that expenses are tax deductible. There is also a lot of learning and training material that you have to buy from amway, but in reality the learning tools are the real way they profit (the upline of your upline). I read parts of a very good book when I was introduced to this mysterious business . I dropped out immediately but my friend who tried to recruit me stayed 3 years until they came to their senses. The author was in amway a long time ago (80s and 90s) but the culture of amway and the series of events that transpire are pretty accurate and were similar to what my friend ultimately experienced. I feel sorry for your friend. don t get fired up!
Just for your information, it is not perhaps a MLM but Amway is a MLM. Your friend who recruited you should have told you the compensation plan. If he or she doesn t, then he or she is not doing a good job. That is the requirement of being a leader in any MLM or to be nicer, network marketing company. PLEASE!PLEASE!PLEASE!DO NOT ORDER FOR YOURSELF...You will be wasting money. If you find the products good, use them as a consumer but DO NOT stock up products.I have friends who did this way and lost a lot of money. They will tell that by buying products to keep makes you committed and motivated to recruit more people so you can get rid of the products for yourself. But please do not do this. I learn this from investing and that is the risk/reward ratio. If the reward that you are gaining is not as good as your risk, then that ratio is against you and you should not do it. So do your sums, if you require to pay $500-$1000 to make $100-$200 every month. That means your risk is bigger than your reward. And if I just take $500 per month for example..You have to invest $500 to get $200 (ideal example). This means that you are paying $300 extra every month to the company for nothing. Think about this. All the best..
Nobody s buying Amway anymore, the economy got rid of most of everyone s surplus cash for luxury items. The Amway thing is like a pyramid, the person who recruits you gets a cut of what you sell, you end up with very little. Might as well get out of it while you can and return the materials.
