I do feel that things are getting rough for a cafe that has to provide connections, security, stay up on the subject, etc. But bartering can make those very minor so almost a no-brainer for offering it.I think that the best bet for Internet Cafes is where they dont have to go thru too much trouble to offer it. There are many locations where there is a cafe near something like a computer repair shop. They should form a mutual business arrangement. More and more a computer shop needs internet to test things. The computer shop could wire over to the nearby cafe. The two shops could share a high speed connection. The cafe can promise all advertising, repair calls, etc to their partner. The computer store can recommend the cafe for customers who will wait or spouses who dont want to wait on their partners. The computer shop might even pvodie a couple of machines at the cafe and handle all the installs, security, etc for their name being in plain site on the machine. The cafe might offer discounts to the shop and maybe even their customers.
Probably still good for a short while, but as computers get more portable and more people have them, and wifi becomes more and more available, likely to decline in the longer term.
i think decreased as more people get smart/iPhones with free wifi
