For the convenience of the customers. Some people are night owls or are up extremely early for work and sometimes regular store hours just don t cut it. For most of the larger stores, it s actually not a very significant increase in staff needed. A lot of the stores already had stock boys working the floors stocking the shelves late a night (too busy to do so during the day), and the bakery folks are in around 4 or 5am to start the day s baking anyway. In most cases they just need to bring in a cashier or two and they ve already got the rest of the support staff working.
In the advent of many jobs requiring people to work odd hours or the night shift; they need a grocery store that is open for there food needs.
WalMart Grocery Stores are usually open 24/7
Um.So people can shop at their convenience?(Not everyone goes to bed at 10 pm and wakes up at 7 am, you know.)
