How do you start a small business? -

I have worked in a local environment for 26 years in the restaurant business.I would like to open my own deli shop.I always hear about loans and grants to do this.Where do I start?

I would also suggest you check out The Small Business Administration (http://www.sba.gov/). This site will be your go-to site for understanding what is needed to start your own business. They provide instructions, guidelines and resources to get your business up and running. I know the thought of opening up a deli shop may be in its very early stages, but you may want to check out or bookmark this site, http://www.l-trondirect.com/ once you get it up and running. My friend recently opened up a small retail store in town and he was looking for barcode scanners to track his inventory and purchasing point-of-purchase equipment, like those electronic signature pads you find at many stores near the checkout. This site was a huge help when it came to equipping the store to manage the product sold, capturing payment methods of his customers and whatnot. You may find this site useful in time.Best of luck to you!

I have never started a business, however the first place to start is knowing what you want to do. I don t just mean knowing that you want to have a deli, I mean knowing exactly what you want to sell, where you plan to get these products, where you want to open the deli. Study up on good locations for new business like yours. Certain parts of towns/cities are obviously better than others. Once you have a business plan, prepare a presentation to show to possible investors and grant organizations. Make sure that you can answer any questions that they may have, because these can make or break the deal. Know your business inside and out. One piece of advice, don t start too big. It s difficult to get out of debt when you bought too much inventory that isn t selling. Understand that you are a new, small business. Expect profitless times. Do whatever you can to get your business name out there to the public. Best of luck with your business!

As an aspiring entrepreneur you have to realize the road ahead is going to be tough. While one of the hardest things that you have to do to start your small business is to get the funding that you need to start up. Most small-business owners are lucky enough to have enough resources such as surplus funds in their savings accounts to start their businesses. But for the majority of those business owners just like you and I, we require some help and assistance.http://www.worldbestloans.com/businessloans.htmWith the recent recession and the economy heading towards a downward spiral, getting the loan that you need to start your small business is going to be a very difficult road for you. But thanks to Uncle Sam there is a better choice out there for you. The government is going to offer you a small business loan grant. The benefits of getting a grant from the government is the fact that it never has to be paid back unlike a normal loan from major banks such as Bank of America Wells Fargo etc.

Contact the Small Business Administration (SBA). They provide funding in the form of loans, loan guarantees and grants to small businesses and start-ups. They can also hook you up with free professional business counseling from SCORE and from other free, reliable sources.
