Here are some tips on selecting a domain name http://www.small-business-software.net/cShould get you started!Best of luck

There are professional service that specialize in naming businesses, domains, products etc. This company is very affordable and has a quick turn around time. They also offer full custom sites really cheap.

The first thing I thought of was - Leanne s Cozy Comforts

Craft That I have no idea why I thought of that. It s really stupid now that I think of it. But thats all that I have.

Renting retail space...slumlord!? -

I have rented my photography studio space from a man for about 3 years. It was a gross building when i rented it, but after putting about 5K into it, it s a nice place. I was not compensated in any way for these improvements, which is okay because I didn t ask for compensation. Last week the ceiling started leaking brown nasty water onto my backgrounds. It ruined one of them and damaged another. There is water damage on the floor and to the ceiling. (there are apartments up above). Also, the bathroom is growning black mold in the walls and now OUTSIDE the walls because something is going on with the pipes in there also. The smell is so overwhelming that you can t stand to use the restroom. My husband called the landlord to inform him of these issues and he told us... if you don t like it, you can get the f- - k out. He accused me of throwing pop around to create these stains and stated that he doesn t see a problem. Ooooookay. Here is the problem. My studio is in a town of about 1000 people, there IS nowhere else for me to go with my studio. It s either shut down or do something about the jacka- - I rent from. What are my legal options. I live in Iowa.

You have to put it in writing. Send your landlord a letter (NOT email) stating the problems and that you expect to have them fixed within a reasonable amount of time (which is up to a month). Keep a copy of this letter for legal purposes. If he does not respond within 30 days, go down to your town hall or city hall or wherever the city administration building is, and find the suitable office to complain to. It s against the law for your landlord to not fix something that s causing private nuisance and is so bad that it s against health code and building code. If not, take it to court. Most commercial tenancy cases in court do not require lawyers of any kind, just a small $100 or so processing fee for court. You will get to present your case, slumlord will be required to appear, etc. Be sure to have pictures to show the court. He is legally liable and responsible for the structural upkeep of the place and to ensure that it doesn t affect health code.

I incorporated my business using 2 different names? -

When I incorporated I decided to have one main name and also another name for my business to operate under. Does it matter which one I use when I do my taxes?

You need to file with the name on your articles of incorporation.Technically, what you have is a DBA , and you can certainly use both, but your licensed name must appear on your return to match up with your federal ID number. So you can file one of two ways: Andie, Inc. or: Andie, Inc., DBA Andie s Donuts (or whatever you ve got).****************Have you ever applied to file as a subchapter s ? Do it as soon as you can. No taxes, baby!

One would be the company name. This would be for the accounts, cheques, bank accounts, tax etc. The other would be your trading name and basically has nothing to do with the money side. You have to be careful that if you invoice under the trading name you make customers aware that they make cheques payable to the owner company.

Yes, You have to use the one that you registered for your Federal Id number with.

Average work salary of a party planner? -

What s the work salary of the average party planner. I was also wondering what types of degrees or classes you should take to get into the field. Thanks in advance (:

no degrees just have to have lots of connections/relationships with business owners and the ability to negotiate. party planners average $30,000 a year unless you are a high end celebrity planner you could make $150,000 a year but you ll have to know art, history, culture and design

Sunsets Moonrises,As Tipper mentioned, it will depend a lot on clientele and the types of parties you re involved in planning and promoting. Please note that being a party planner tends to be less about planning and more about promoting so it depends a lot on networking and developing lists of both attendees and clients. I know one promoter who makes well over $75k and only has 2 clients because he s a great promoter and has great lists. I m sure it s much more and much less for others.Good luck!

Hi guysI am hoping there are some UK based event/party/wedding planners out there who can help me.....At some point in the near future I am hoping to start up and event/party planning business with a good friend of mine. However all though I have alot of experience planning different events from birthday parties to a wedding fayre I do not have an official qualification so would like to buy a couple of good books to read up on the theory side of the business but when I have put event planning into a book search on Amazon it has bought up over 1000 results and I don t want to waste my money on something which is no good to me so wondered if anyone had any advice or recommendations please.....One of the most promising looking books I have seen so far is The Event Managers Bible by D G Conway, published in April this year - does anyone know if this is any good as it has no reviews on Amazon? Thanks everyoneLaura :-)

Hi Laura, why not check out PriceMinister for books too as they re secondhand and therefore cheaper....making it easier to take a risk and buy a book that doesn t have any reviews!

I buy and sell my used books on http://www.priceminister.co.uk/books you can normally find the books you are looking for and they are quite cheap too. It s best to look through the books to find the ones in the best condition.

Web hosting reseller e-commerce? -

About less than a month ago, I opened up a web hosting company using a resellers account. I have everything set up and going on to having 3 clients, but I have gotten these people by word of mouth. I wanted to know if there was any free or affordable web hosting e-commerce out there, so I could sell straight the web hosting straight from the web site. I ve tried some normal e-commerce scripts like PrestaShop and it s a really great script, but doesn t work out the way I want it to work.

Have u tried this one mate oscommerce ,i dont have any personal experience with it,but heard somewhere a nice one....
