I want to charge people for my knit hats. How can I do this without being rude or pushy? -

Also I noticed my sisters boyfriend always wears beanie hats like I knit so I asked him if he wanted to buy one for 10 dollars and he said yes. My parents said that it would be rude to charge him money for it. But it takes me a lot of time, and I have to by the yarn! Plus she has only been dating him like 2 weeks. I thought about advertising on Facebook but my boyfriend told me he thinks it s a bad idea, because people could steal my idea and try to charge for knitting hats. HELP?? How should I advertise? Is it wrong to charge my sisters boyfriend of 2 weeks for a hat?

you did nothing wrong - he could have said no - but he said yes do all these idiots in your life think all knit hats in the world are free??? they probably all have no problem paying $10 for a machine made hat at Walmarts, why should they object to paying for a handmade one.you aren t exactly making a fortune for them - probably $1-2 an hr at the most after your yarn coststell them to shut up, you are making legal money in a tough economy - they should be happy for if you can sell anywhen I was a kid in the 60 s - my mother hand-knit Barbie clothes for my sister s Barbies and then sold a bunch too

You should try to sell some of your hand-made creations on etsy.com it is a place where people sell hand-crafted items online. You can even check out similar items on etsy to inspire yourself! You can advertise by paying for an online ad or just by word-of-mouth.I don t think it is wrong to be charging your sister s boyfriend for the hat because it costs you money and time to make the hat. This is your artwork. And if you say that you are planning to eventually sell the hats as a business, I m sure he would be supportive. You can even ask him to promote you.

What to put as a new business? -

What is a good business to start located on a strip? The businesses next to it are Papa John s, Movie Gallery, A Chinese Restaurant, And A hot dogg place.I live in South Georgia, thought location might help a bit. Any ideas? Thanks ! (:

Movie Gallery? Is that a Movie Theater or a Movie rental place? If it s a theater then one option would be to put in an Ice Cream store like a Marble Slab Creamery, Rita s Ice or something like that. It could be a nice fit for after movie goers and for the Chinese restaurant which isn t known for its great deserts. This could be a stronger idea if the Strip was easily accessible, had good road frontage for your signage and perhaps was a bit near to a major intersection and possibly a subdivision within a mile or so. Even if it isn t a theater it could still be a good idea.Another option would be to open a second time around shop of some kind. I say this because the demographics of the people in the other businesses could be very good for people who value gently used clothing. These kinds of stores are also becoming more in vogue among the teens for stores like Plato s Closet etc. There could be other options too. The key to choosing a business in this location is to keep in mind that the likely demographics of the people going there will be teens, families, probably middle to lower middle income and point of purchase oriented , i.e. they ll buy because it s there versus going there to buy specifically.Hope that helps.

How come no one has started a small business making/selling burnt potato chips? -

I love burnt potato chips. I think many others do also.

Cape Cod Potato Chips makes a really dark chip, just short of burned, called Dark Russet. Really good.

If Golden Chips were a hot seller wouldn t every chip maker turn up the fire? Do not think you could patent them?? Maybe you could sell the variety concept to a large chip maker like Lays? But i do love digging for the dark chips...

lol i love burnt potato chips!!i have no idea, but why not?! ;) ahaha

really?better try then

Ebay Is This A Real Auction ????????? -

http://cgi.ebay.com/PS2-GAME-GOD-OF-WAR-like if you see this auction only art pic does it mean its realor the seller has to take a pic of the game

on games, game systems and other popular items, eBay has some file photos the seller is allowed to use. I usually take a pic anyway but it is more convenient. The first level of the description is also file information that ebay has on the game. The lower description is info the user has entered.

Quick question, my brother and I want to start a business, where do we start? -

we are in south florida, where do we go to get incorporated?, how much is the process?, for a simple small business should we go llc,c-corp, or s-corp?, also how do we lock down our name?

You can start without incorporating, which might be a good idea if you re starting small. You can file a DBA, which stands for Doing Business As. Basically you can name your business and get a tax ID number so that you don t have to share your social security number in order to get paid. You can incorporate online or file a DBA online (see links) for an affordable price. Many of these online services also include additional perks that can be helpful to starting out.

Work from Home Website? -

Does anyone know of a honest work from home website? Or maybe one that you don t pay up front with?

There are no real sites. All scams.

There are free websites.....I have 3 at present....they can be found at Weebly,comWebs.comOfficelive.com (microsoft host)the above websites are free ...you just have to make sure and select a sub-domain and not a domain name yet....then when your successful then you can upgrade to a domain name...like i said i have 3 up right now and they were all free......enjoy .............Mike :)
