Can a client demand creditability for website development? -

Few months back, one of friend wanted some websites developed for his friends. I developed 2 sites for him and he came up with 3rd project. As I have worked previously, I didn t ask for initial deposit of 3rd website. On completion of 3rd website, he asked me to replace my website s link and put his name (on all 3 websites) to show visitors that he himself developed website. I told him that I can remove my link as he is owner of websites but I cannot replace it with his name bcz I have worked hard to build my websites portfolio and charged him minimal cost (being my friend).There is no written contract signed for any of 3 websites. Now he is refusing to pay for 3rd website s development and hosting unless I give website development credits to him.He is also demanding source code for all 3 websites so that he can get it modified from someone to put his name (as the developer of the sites).Now some legal questions arising for me are: 1. If I developed and hosted website without a written contract (and the client has paid for it), can I reject handing over the code unless client agrees to formal terms and conditions of external use of code? 2. If the client is refusing to pay for website development and hosting (after the site is live), can legally I put Google Ads on the live website bring some revenue to cover development cost? 3. Can I refuse to continue hosting the 2 previous websites on my server if he is not paying for 3rd website upon completion of the 3rd website? 4. Can I offer him the credits for all 3 websites for extra charges? How much can I charge for this?Any help/suggestion with above questions is much appreciated.Lesson I learnt: Always do a contract with a client no matter how simple the project is.

You don t have a contract, so you can t enforce payment for the third project. I would not give him website development credit or the codes for any of the sites. You have done the work, why should he be able to take credit for that or have somebody else change it, so that he can. You are not under a legal obligation to do so, as they was no written agreement or contract.I would also write-off payment for the third project and also this supposed friendship. However, I think you need qualified legal advice from somebody who is an expert in IT law to cover your questions about google ads, etc.

Im a new cashier at CVS - in what order should I give customers their change? -

This has been a bit of a grey area for me... I was never properly taught how to give change back to customers, seeing as how there is no perfect method. I ve been working at CVS for about a month now (16 year old s first job!) and what i ve been doing is putting the bills (if any) on top of the receipt, handing it to them, and then giving them coins. How do most people prefer their change? Coins first, bills 2nd and receipt 3rd? Help!

I like my coins first, so they can rest in the palm of my hand. Then my bills next so that I can grip them with my fingers. And then the receipt last, on top of the bills. I always think of being handed the receipts as the way to show that our business deal has concluded. If someone gave me the receipt before the bills, I might think that they were going to forget to give me the bills. Some people might prefer your method of having the bills before the coins because then the bills are more secure in their hand. However, when this happens to me A.) I usually drop the coins and B). It makes it makes it harder to double check that my change is correct ( I can t shuffle through the bills as easily). Which I like to do. Not so much because I worry I will be given the wrong change, but because I ve worked as a cashier and I know it sucks to have a short drawer at the end of the shift.

Put the receipt on top of any bills, then with the other hand, give them change at the same time on top of the bills receipt.Then wonder why CVS lacks in customer service, as you ring, answer phones, unlock cases, check in vendors, help those that just cannot find anything, do photo, put away shopbacks, all at the same time, and do it with a smile knowing that whopping 2% per year increase is waiting for you in 11 short months.

1) Put the bill(s) they gave you on TOP of the keypad, so it stays OUTSIDE the drawer. Count it one more time to make sure the bills didn t stick. Then repeat verbally, Out of $20 or whatever the amount they paid. This is so they can t say they handed you a $20 when they actually handed you a $10. 2) enter the amount paid into register, drawer pops open3) Take out the change, from largest to smallest, INCLUDING coins, one hand to pull, put into the other hand. Count it again mentally against your receipt / screen s change amount. 4) That hand then rips the receipt, put it into the other hand5) Hand over the whole bundle with one hand, the other hand to protect the bills on the register in case they try a grab-and-run . 6) Wait a few seconds, after the customer is satisfied and walks away from the spot.
