Advertising my sole proprietorship.. use I, my, amp; me or we, our, amp; us? -

Can t figure out which is more appealing. I m not advertising to the general market, not competing with huge corporations, just a one-man team that repairs computers. Which looks better on paper. Technically, if I(or we ) go plural, wouldn t I be lying?

You can use either one in your advertising - how your business is set up does not really matter - We repair anything sounds more appealing than I repair anything

If the name of your business suggests multiple employees (in case you intend to expand), the plural is fine. The singular really works well, if you are stressing personalized service.

I formed an LLC and now have to apply for business tax, am I the owner or corporate registered agent? -

I can only circle one of four options on the business tax application for this city. I know I m not technically a president or C.E.O. so I have to choose between Owner or Corporate Registered Agent. I am the one and only owner and I m also the Registered Agent. However I don t know if there is a difference between registered agent or corporate registered agent, especially because an LLC technically is not a corporation. I just wanted to see if anyone knows which I should put. Thanks in advance!

Since LLCs do not have a tax return of their own and you must elect how you are going to file. I would let that choice determine how I filled out the form. If you are planning to file as a Scedule C - Sole Proprietor, choose Owner . If you are going to file as a sub-S Corporation, choose Corporate Registered Agent .

How do i find the approximate annual growth rate for my market? -

I am doing research on starting a business. I plan to have 2 local markets; in my city and a very close and neighboring metropolitan; Austin, Tx. My business has to do with the wedding industry, but a certain niche of the wedding industry. I can also see my business doing well selling online. as there are few that do this service and the ones I have found online do very well. How do I approximate the annual growth rate for my market if it includes four different variables: 2 different cities, internet customers, and my niche?help please!

try Bizstats.comI doubt you will find anything specific by city - the numbers of businesses in one area too small to be meaningfulwhat you need to do is determine is there is already too many competitors for you to be successful

I want sell an item on ebay, whats the best way to ship it and i need some tips? -

im new to ebay i have a few items i want sell but i dont know which is the best way to send the item and i need some tips since im new on ebay anyone intrested????

It depends on the item. If its books or media - ship it media mail because ebay only allows you to ask for 4.00 shipping. If they are heavy objects use flat rate boxes from the post office. There are 3 sizes of boxes you can get for free at the post office. That s the way I normally ship. Other than that I use parcel post. Get yourself a scale. If you can t afford one, weigh yourself on your own scale and then step off, pick up the package and step back on. The difference is the weight of your package. Gives you a rough idea. Then go to the postal rates on the computer and see what it will cost. Add a little for handling and you have it. If you can t do this, package the item up and take it to the post office, tell them to check the rate to the farthest zip code from your home. This also gives you a rough estimate. You can also look up the item your selling to see if someone else is selling the same thing and check what they are charging for shipping.By the way they have a shipping calculator with ebay also. But my items are usually heavy so I flat rate them. It s a lot easier. You can also call ebay, they will give you all the help you need. They also have a live chat line right on the site.

There are different ways and methods you can go with! Fedex and DHL can get very expensive. There are a bunch of parcel forwarding services available as well. One such co that I like to use are called Shipito. You can go on their website and they have a shipping calculator, you can put the weight of the parcel and what country you would be sending it to and boom they calculate a rate for you. They are one of few comapnies that use USPS which is the cheapest to deal with! hope this help.

Whats a creative name for a carpet cleaning co.? -

How about running a competition in your area through your local newspapers, or with local secondary schools/colleges etc to get all the locals to come up with a name. That way you get free PR in the local newspapers, school/college newsletters etc both announcing the competition in the first place and then announcing the winner, perhaps with a photo of you handing the competition winner their prize (which doesn t have to be expensive - how about an MP3 player for a tenner?) and if you get photographed with the winning name/logo being held up too then it gets it in front of people right from the start. then once they start to see your business up and running they will already be familiar with the logo/name etc and your business will have instant credibility. This is just an idea - adapt it at will!
