DIAMOND WEIGHTS?? 10 POINTS!!? -

How many diamond weights are equal to one ounce?and how many troy ounces are equal to one ounce?and anymore that you can think of...thanks!

I agree with Bruce, Google is a good place to start. I found the following:Diamond weights are measured in carats. One carat equals 1/142nd of an ounce, or 1/5th of a gram. In other words... there are 142 carats in 1 ounce and 5 carats in 1 gram.

Google is your friend and mine.I typed in :carets in a ozand got:1 ounce = 141.747616 caratsandhow many troy oz in a poundand got1 pound = 14.5833333 troy ozyou get the idea. Google has a calculator that makes this possible.

What should I get my degree in specifically if i want to get into the business side of the music industry? -

I am already in college and have started taking basic business courses but i have yet to choose a business major. I really want to work in the music industry. Any suggestions??

Well, some schools offer actual degrees in music business (either a music degree with a specialization in business, or vice-versa) - see the link below, for instance. Also, the University of Miami offers a music business degree. But for a general BA program at the average school, a basic business major would certainly give you some skills that could make you useful to the music industry. A lot of it will come down to your social network, so whatever you can do to meet the right people and get known is probably the most important thing. You might consider starting with a small indie label, perhaps even as a volunteer or intern.

There are now tons of universities that offer Music business majors. NYU, Berklee College of Music, Northwestern and Drexel are just a few. Keep in mind though that the music business has need of many different skill sets. There are Lawyers and accountants and IT people etc etc.I would suggest that you do your best to get an internship at a music company because knowing people and experience in the business is almost as important as your education.Best of luck,Rick

How can I start my own clothing line?I cant sew or draw but i have a lot of great ideas? -

Single mum, there is a market for kids clothing in my country and i want to capitalize on it.I have no idea where to start or how much its going to cost me.If you have experience e-mail me @ trakim5@yahoo.com thanks

Let s just think about this for a moment! If you can t draw then LEARN! Even if it is just to draw stick figures you have to have a way to show what your ideas will look like! You have to start out with a clothing line even if it is just one or 2 pieces to start with (there was one famous design line that first started with just 1 tee shirt as its first clothing line product). There is also something that I am trying to figure out here. Do you just want to present the ideas and then have someone else create the clothes? Then that is going to have to be some type of partnership kind of thing and you will have to have a partnership-type contract between the 2 of you.If you want to do the clothing line yourself then you really should start with a business plan. Basically you ll have to come up with the design, market it and show it to others and get buyers for it. There are also such things as investors and angel investors but you are going to have to convince them as to why they should invest their money with you.

I want to open a dollarama franchise.? -

Ok so here is the problem. The website is under construction. So no go there. I tried e-mailing dhaiun@CRIS.COM, which I got from another yahoo answer and it was totally wrong. The address from ANOTHER answer didn t exsist. SOOOO can anyone give me a CORRECT answer. LOL please and thanks.

Suzanne, Dollarama is not a franchise. They are a chain of over 600 dollar stores across Canada. The company is headquartered in Montreal and is Canada s largest operator of dollar stores. If you would still like to contact them, you can call the Montreal headquarters Toll Free 1-888-755-1006 or local 514-737-1006.Hope it helps. You re welcome, Suzanne. Let me know if I can help you further.

Why? do you like doing business with the dregs? you will spend just as much time selling one dollar items worth 50 cents as you will selling 20 dollar items worth forty. How many 50 cent items will you have to sell to make a profit that can make a house payment? Wrong business but hey at least you haven t bought a ton of cra9 yet.
