A business card should be easy to read and clearly define who you are, what you do and how to easily contact you. Don t be too boisterous about yourself. If you are the sole person in the business, then you are the founder, owner, director and bottle washer all in one! Just put your name and underneath it the type of business

I think Director and Founder sound kind of lame when you are a single person business. I would stick with owner or even no title at all.

You need to send your resume out to real jobs you are qualified to do. In your cover letter you need to state that you wish to work remotely, from your home office. LOTS of companies, especially in CA operate this way. They usually provide transportation for you to come in for an interview and for you to attend company meetings a few times a year, but otherwise everything is done online.

Really need some ebay help. was sold fake ghd, now seller is ignoring me!? -

from the date of purchase, it took her over 3 weeks to deliver. I sent it back...took her another week to confirm via email that she received it. another week goes by and she asks if she can pay by cheque as her paypal is acting up suddenly. a week later and still no cheque! Now she is ignoring me!I was too trusting (she had 99% feedback which has since dropped to 97%) and I have missed the deadline for opening any dispute or leaving feedback. the amount was ��76 so it s a lot of money!I would really appreciate any advice on this as I am new to ebay and have never had this happen to me before.Many thanks in advance

Ebay are a nightmare to contact. This is a power seller contact number, they may not speak to you but if you don t mention that your not a powerseller they might just help you. 020 8080 2103. They request your ebay username, date of birth etc then they ask you for your problem. They may well then go into the emails sent and received from the seller and you (if any) they then advise you on what to do next. The ideal thing to do is make a claim with ebay/paypal (same difference) and you will then have the chance to explain that the ghd s (STRAIGHTNERS- to people who clearly live in dark boxes!!) were fake. It is against policy to sell fake goods anyway. BUT all this is fine and dandy as you would clearly win the claim and be refunded your money without the sellers say, however you ve said it is past the time that this reaction would be valid. If you are 100% sure that this is not a possible routine then go ahead and ring them Mon- Fri 9:00am - 6:00pm. But you must be prepared to except that they may turn around and say there is no way out as you have not reported the problem within the time scale, same as if you buy a faulty product from a store and ask for a refund after the returns policy (you will be refused).Hope it gets sorted for you! = )
