What can I do to help bring business to my restaurant? -

I have recently accepted a job in public relations for a local Tex-Mex restaurant. The food they serve is quite good and fresh. However, I m having difficulty getting patrons during lunch. Our prices are very low for freshly cooked food. We are in a smaller town, but have a few fairly good sized businesses. I would like to make a deal with some of the employees from these companies, but I m not sure what s appropriate. Do you have any suggestions?

I would start by getting in touch with the HR Director at the businesses and offering a discount or incentive of some sort to all their employees. In most companies the HR Department would be the ones to post the coupons on the company s bulleting board or email the menu around to the staff or something like that. I would make sure you have something to offer to make a benefit for the employees, like 10% off the bill with a company ID, or something like that. Otherwise they won t likely be interested.Good Luck.

What are Bookings.com and Expedia...are they tour operators? If not what are they and how do they work? -

I ve been told that they are tour operators but would like to know more.

I believe they are just booking agencies. They work with airlines and hotels and negotiate discounts which they pass (most of) on to their clients. They also earn a commission from the airlines and hotels.

You have to show growth (no pun intended). If I am buying a business, Of course the first thing I want to know if what you owe. After that it is how much you make vs how much you spend. The biggest thing I want to know is how much has your profit gone up each month. If it is not at least 10% each month, then I have no interest in it.

Increase your profit. (Reduce expenses and/or increase revenue).Growing your customer base is a common method but this usually takes time and money (such as marketing expenses) and since you want to sell in 12 months it s probably not really worth making this investment.If you don t think you ll lose any customers you might want to raise your rates a little bit.The more you earn, the more your business is worth.

No it is not.. But you need to have a good business plan and also your personal credit (you will be the guarantor) before they can approve you.
