Ebay reserve prices???? -

i bid $30 on an item that has a reserve price and it says reserve not met but it only shows $0.99 so will i win it or not? anything else you can tell me about reserve prices would be helpful thanks

You can read in more detail about reserve prices on the e-bay site but in short your bid after the time has finished on the item could be considered by the seller or rejected too depending if they like your bid or not.But as long as the reserve is not met they do not have to sell it.Hope this helps you out.

a reserve price is the lowest price a seller is willing to accept on an item. let s say the reserve price on the item you re bidding on is $50. this means the seller will not sell the item for any less. therefore your bid of $30 is not enough. you will not win the item. the reason the bid is showing only $.99 is because you are the first/only bid and that is the opening bid amount.it s possible the seller may contact you with a second chance offer if no one bids any higher than the $30 you bid. if you seriously want the item, you re going to have to increase your bid. when the reserve amount has been reached, the reserve not met will disappear from the listing. at that point the highest bidder will win.

A reserve means that the seller is looking for a specific price. The $.99 is just the beginning bid - it has nothing to do with the reserve. If the reserve is not met at the end of an auction and the seller is not happy with the winning price, they are allowed to back out of the auction and either relist it or not sell.

Reserve price means seller has offered to start bidding at .99 cents - but wants to get more than that - your bid of 30.00 is not the reserve price the seller has posted to EBAY as the sale price, so when you bid 30, it won t show! - if you bid 10.00 up each time - sooner or later you ll find the reserve price. Sellers don t want to start at real reserve price - cause they ll scare off small bidders.

How to start your own business? -

I want to start a business that helps the elderly but I am not sure how to go about it. I was wondering if there is a way I can do it with minimum out of pocket expenses ( I know nothing is free and the way this economy is everyone want to be smarter about their money). If there are any websites I can use..... or any advice ( positive only). I am very gratefull for

Meals on wheels. If you already have a car, this makes the most sense. OR: this is what I would have thought of. The idea is called Dial a Buddy . For $12, an elderly person can talk to you face to face for a half-hour. $20 per hour. Most elderly people don t have anyone to talk to and they ll appreciate it a lot if they can talk your ear off. Good luck.

I personally run an online business. It doesn t need big start up cost. You can manage your business from home, and you don t have to spend more than 4 hours work per day. Here is my website where you can see more information.

How do staffing agencies prevent cheating? -

I was always wondering how staffing agencies prevented cheating. If an individual gets employed at a work-site; what prevents that person from just going directly to the work-site and asking to be hired on without reporting it back to the staffing agencies? Can the staffing agencies monitor social security numbers to make sure a particular company isn t pay you without giving them a percentage? This always puzzled me how they can prevent loss of compensation without having some kind of technology that monitors payroll transactions from a person s social security number.

The employer signs a contract regarding that. Though it s unlikely to get caught, if they are caught it s bad enough that they really don t want to mess with it. Also, once someone gets hired, firing them is usually a pain. A temp agency person can be fired at a moment s notice, for no reason, so it makes for a good probation period.

It may vary from agency to agency, but temp. employees are not allowed to apply for jobs with the client while working there. An employer may ask the temp to submit an application for full time employment if they seem to be working out or if it is a temp to hire position. In such a case, the employer and the agency might enter into negotiations to buy the temps contract. The client employer pays the temp agency the wages plus agency fees, the temp agency then pays the temp worker the wages at the rate they contracted them for. If the client says they will pay $10/hr.plus fees, the agency may pay the worker the $10.00/hr. or less and pocket the difference plus the fees. The temp worker also has the option of terminating employment with the agency to take a job else where. Also the client has to tell the agency they offered employment to the worker.

They hire staffing to make fun of them or to have a retarded task done, they flat out wouldn t hire them. That s the lure of the staffing agency.

In England we have to work for 13 weeks with the agency before we can work fully with the company

Best major for opening a small business or company. for example a restaurant or mechanic? -

I know some people open their own business without any education but I would like to be better prepared and earn a degree in something. I plan to open my own small companies or businesses in i will also be taking classes on accounting, human resource management

I have met similiar problem before, here list of sites http://financeonline1.notlong.com/1AAdmDA

Best major is no major bud... College is a rip off. There forced general ed requirements are expensive and forgotten after you graduate.College is a business. They have a four year profit goal for each student. The only thing they care about is your money especially when you pay for it over 20 or 30 years. Go to the library and learn for free. Get an internship with a local business man and offer to work for FREE, yes you heard me. work for free and learn about his business. 3-6 months , if you dont like the business.... try a different one. college is useless unless you are extremely focused on topics like aerospace, surgical procedures or science.....Dont waste money on business knowledge. its all free son... believe me.

I need funds to save my business and cant refinance? -

Hmm - how much do you need? What have you tried? There are lots of things to consider, but we can t offer advice without a clear question. I believe that this is a common problem these days. Some people are doing novel things to raise funds. Without knowing what kind of a business you have it is hard to offer suggestions. Why not repost, but provide more details.

that sucks.... i assume there s a question in there somewhere. Most likely how do i GET these funds ? I need to know more about your situation, but i may be able to point you in the right directions. Not going to post it here though. find me.. I ll be happy to share my advice, but don t want to leave my answers to my own speculation, so will not post it here.

Job 101 easy question? -

When filling out an application. How do you prove that you have experience? I worked at GAP for one year. When I put down my experience. How exactly do they (company) know, for sure that I m telling the truth? Age 20 (Male)

You could make copies of pay stubs from your last job. Or copies of paychecks. Then the manager can know that you are telling the truth. Or you can bring a letter from a previous employer.

you fill out the info on the application, and you need to put references. example, your manager from gap. they can then call them to see if you are telling the truth :)

How do i approach a modelling agency? -

I would like to do modelling but i havent got the look for a high fashion model, more like a commercial model. I have contacted quite a few and the only ones who have come back are the ones who are trying to rip me off. Does anyone have any tips? Thanks

Dont pay any fees to an agency, the fee they take should be a pecentage of your earnings.

There are several ways to get the contact of those agencies. You can get in local Newspapers, Magazines or you can make search in Google. You will get lots of Modelling websites. Btw do not forget to add place, state, country name in your search phrase.

Try and find a great photographer to do your portfolio for this. If you ve done it yourself it won t cost as much make sure you have the right outfits in your portfolio. Evening wear, Swimwear, day wear etc.,
