Do employment agencies charge a fee to the people they are employing? -

Specifically Kelly Services Inc, although im sure they all work the same way. Do they take a portion of your paycheck or is it just the company that has to pay them?

They sell your services to a company for say $30 per hour. In turn, the agency will pay you $20 per hour and keep $10 per hour for themselves. That is how they earn their money.

How can I earn money with photography? -

I am good at photography and I want to earn some money. How can I sell photos, printable calendars, etc? Do you know any sites, companies, or anything else which may be interested in this? Thanks!

There are many good photographers that could easily sell their photos, but they really aren t interested in making money selling their photos. Their photos are for them and their friends and that is as far as they want to go. This is fine...check this out....

used to be a photographer used to make killer money doing peanut football teams and little league baseball. you do a couple of team photos and then run the kids thru doing the individual shots and put them in the cardboard cutouts. they cost about a buck a peice to make and i would charge 10 bucks and every parent wants one

there are quite a few online courses that are cheap to take that can help teach you to monetize your photography skills. may be worth a go. what i learned was to develop multiple income streams...

Where do i start? I want to open a small business (australia)? -

im looking into opening my own small business in QLD.. Im an apprentice tattooist.. Ive got contacts who are willing to work for me but also train me at the same time. Is this possible? Also (even if its not possible) where do you start? Where does the business plan come into it? Im starting my research and ive booked myself in to see some advisors. Id just like to go to them prepared. Any advice? A list of things to have ready would be awesome too :)

Before you do any business you should know everything there is to know about that business. The back end. Not just what your business is about but the function of it in its entirety. Thats a business plan. Google business plan software . I did and came up with businessplanpro.com but there are alot out there. In the meantime do a business plan outline.http://www.business-plan.com/outline.htm

1) First you decided whether you want to work online or offline method. If you want to use online method you must have a website.2) Promote your website or take help of internet marketing consultant.3) Become an affiliate of good company e.g. http://www.hdpublishinggroup.com or any travel website.4) Make $$$ as a commission but remember you have to give your valuable time to your work.

How do I acquire a copyright? -

at least I think thats what I need. You see, I found a freelance mixer to record my bands music. But I found out (by asking a lawyer) that unless I have copyright, who ever produces the product and edits the music file is the owner of it. He or she can legally edit it however they want and call it their own, because I gave them the file. It s like if you write a report and give it to someone to publish. Without legal proof, anyone could call it their own and yo wouldn t have a leg to stand on. How do I get a copyright?

A copyright is implied to the originator of the song, unless there was a contract that gave the copyright to the producer. You can register your work with the US gov t at http://www.copyright.gov/register/.You generally don t need to register to have a valid copyright, but it makes it infinitely more difficult and expensive to claim if you haven t registered your work.

Check out www.uspto.gov for helpful tips.Good luck!

Is laptopsgoingcheap.com a legitimate company? Too good to be true? -

I stumbled upon a too good to be true laptop computer sale through http://www.google.com/products. I searched for the HP dv7-2180us and found that laptopsgoingcheap.com is selling them for $620.00 which is about half of the other retailers. The sites appears to have spawned from the UK (which isn t a good sign so far). I won t buy from them without any prior experience or some type of feedback so if you ve already been burned, post your response here. If you haven t already ordered, I don t recommend it at all at this point. The site advertises a 7-day return policy...wierder already. Here is their contact info, supposedly:Contact Us By Phone:+447024057519Contact Us By EMail:1 VICTORIA PLACE,THE PROMENADE,KINGSBRIDGE,DEVON,TQ7 1JGContact Us By EMaillaptopsgoingcheap@gmail.com OR cheaplaptopsonline@yahoo.comfrom:http://store03.prostores.com/servlet/laptopsgoingcheaponline/the-template/about/Page

I want to know the same thing, I just ordered from them and they said the credit card system was broke..They gave me the option of paying with money order or signing onto yahoo messenger to talk to a representative about how to pay with the credit card which would probably involve giving them my card number, so I m sayying EFF that. They had a really good deal for a Acer Aspire 1410 though :( 285$!!I m not going to trust it. I told them to let me pay with paypal, or nothing. They said they only accept paypal if you ordered more than 3 units. I replied saying make an exception or I m on the road.We ll see what they say. Lol. I wouldn t trust it though.

Yes, this site is a scam. http://store03.prostores.com/servlet/laptopsgoingcheaponline/StoreFront You can see from the url that the site is part of Prostores.com. I have notified them they have a fraudulent site and they said they would have it removed. As of 11-4-09 it was still operating. Report Abuse

If i sold you a virus proof computer? -

would you buy it? if i start my own opensource computer repair/maintanance business do you think it will succeed? if i build computers install linux on them like ubuntu/linuxmint would anyone be interested in buying an ubuntu machine? i sent an email to canonica and they said they approve of it and they will help me with tech support as well. It will be a computer place with all open source gadgets and free software. and ill sell computers cheaper because i dont need microsoft licencing on my custom built computers. and from there i would expand it to include gadgets as well. like opensource netbook/ notebooks/ cell phones. would it grow? linux is growing but what do you think?

It would not be feasible unless you start a network of distributors throughout the country to support and service your products. No one across the country will buy your product without assurance that they can get local support. That is why I prefer to sell things like stress-relievers and lapel pins, they require zero after sales support.

1. I wouldn t believe you. No such thing as a virus proof computer.2. No one will buy Linux because the vast majority of software runs on Windows.3. A little guy such as yourself may not be around to honor your warranty.4. Even with not paying for Windows you won t undercut the big guys on price. Those are the biggest reasons I wouldn t buy from you. Sorry.

What are some good ideas/methods for selling candy at school? -

I am trying to sell candy at school to buy some 45.00 Coogi Pants. I know you have to spend money to make money but I do not want to spend too much. I have an idea, where I can get a pencil box ( plastic container) and put the candy in there and sell, and when people get there candy I will put it in a plastic bag... Am I doing too much, Have any better ideas?

Many schools are clamping down on candy and junk food at school, also on students selling stuff on the premises, so first be sure it is ok for students to sell stuff, specifically candy, if it is not a school organization s fundraiser.People are pinching pennies these days, so if you are buying at a retail store, chances are that you cannot mark up the candy enough to really make any money. You d be better off finding neighbors, etc, who need a babysitter, someone to help put up holiday decorations, wash/detail cars, rake leaves, and other sorts of services. You could be making enough to put away hundreds (even thousands) for college, not just one pair of pants.
