Free grants for small business? -

trying to start my own business

There are millions of dollars in governement grants awarded each year. However, not to start a private business.Go to the web site for government grants - http://www.grants.govThe site page Who Is Eligible states: http://www.grants.gov/aboutgrants/eligibWe have all seen them; late night infomercials, websites, and reference guides, advertising millions in free money Don t believe the hype! Although there are many grants on Grants.gov, few of them are available to individuals and none of them are available for personal financial assistance. To find an alphabetical listing of federal personal assistance visit USA.gov websites Government Benefits, Grants, and Financial Aid page at http://www.govbenefits.gov/Find out if you are eligible to apply for grants on Grants.gov, watch this helpful animated eligibility tutorial - http://www.grants.gov/tutorials/gdgeligi

There are billions of dollars in free grants available. Some are through the US Gov t others through Private Foundations. There s also a catalogue of grants at your local library. Depending on the kind of business and the background of the owners you must match your needs to the grant.Be patient and follow the directions for the ones for which you qualify and you ll be ok. January is the best time to seek them (in my opion) for the new deadlines etc.Good Luck!
