Cheapest way to ship a large package? -

I have a package that is 50 pounds and 24x36x20. USPS is $90, I m looking around the $30 range. Thanks.

You didn t give origin/destination zip codes so had to guess. Both UPS and Greyhound Express are in the $52-$57 range for their lowest, slowest rate.I don t think you will find anyone to ship for $30.Wait! If you don t mind having some scheduling flexibility, you might check out Uship.com. This is a site where you enter what you want to ship, from where and to where. Then, various member carriers will bid on your job. It is all secret (they don t know who you are) until you select one of them. You pay no fees for this; the winning carrier pays a fee to Uship. For something like this, you might find one of them that is coming through your town on another trip and headed where you want it to go. They can just toss it in with the car or motorcycle or furniture they are delivering for someone else. It s worth a shot; I ve used it twice and got really great quotes.
