Starting a business????????? -

if i want to start a business, say t-shirtswhat licenses do i need and stuff???

You don t need a license to sell t-shirts, but you will have to decide what kind of company you d like to form (i.e. sole proprietorship, partnership, ltd. liability corp., private corp., etc ... ) for tax purposes and for your legal protection.Call up your local SBA office for details in your area. But if you really want to start selling t-shirts like RIGHT NOW and practically 0 start-up costs, check out cafepress.com to build your own online store as a sole proprietor!

You probably don t need any license to sell t-shirts over the Internet or at flea markets. If you want to sell them out of your home, you ll have to check your local zoning laws to see if you can do it.With small businesses like the one you re describing, what I have found is that as long as you don t violate any zoning or condo association rules and don t cross the taxing authorities (IRS state sales tax) you won t have a problem.

You need a business license, tax id and seller s permit to start any business in which you sell things.
