How do i cash a Crossed postal order thats not in my name? -

Iv been sent a postal order by someone who i sold something to, but they ve put the wrong surname on the postal order and its crossed, so i can only cash it at the bank. but because the name on it isnt the same as the name my bank acount is in i cant cash it. is there anything i can do to get my money?

Get the person to bring the postal order and the stub back to the post office, and a refund or replacement should be issued. There may be another fee for the new postal order, of course.

No. You will have to return it and get the customer to ask the issuing PO to change it to the correct name.A crossed PO can never be cashed, only banked and it has to be the correct details.
