Erm, I have Jim Crow the spammer following me it seems :)Anyway, maybe getting accustomed to your ACCOUNTING books is a good way to start. From my experience I d also say that if you have one or two employees working for you, don t be their buddy or they won t respect you.Be fair but firm and lead by example: when they get there you must be there already.
Hi William;Perhaps the best book I have read was The E-Myth by Michael Gerber. In a very clear and friendly style he gives you a manual on organizing your small business in Professional manner. The effect is to mirror a franchised business by developing procedures for every part of the business that will when followed by all the firms employees create a customer experience that is consistent every time. He would like to have you take one or more courses that will lead you toward this goal however, the web site and books he has written are very generous in helping you do this on your own. Check out his web site for a regular newsletter (free) that is also helpful.I can assure you will find his books very supportive and quite helpfulFred Norman
