How do you decide which shipping to use? -

sending small things like video games i usually use USPS first class mail. for things that are heavier, i use parcel post. what if I am selling a video game console? should i use UPS or something?

It depends on the volume of your shipments. One shipment a week vs 100 per day. With higher volume it may be worth it to purchase software that you enter the weight and destination and it tells you the cheapest method of shipment. If it s really high, meaning it warrants UPS coming to your business every day, contact a sales rep and see what kind of discounts you get from FedEx, UPS, etc. At that point they ll even give you a label printer and software to do all your shipping from there.If this is a one time shipment such as an Ebay item, etc, I d suggest the flat rate boxes from the postal service and make sure it is properly packaged and insured as necessary.
